Week 17 NFL Picks and Predictions - Final Week Madness Reigns Supreme!

Rodney Southern
The last week of the NFL football regular season is upon us and there are still plenty of reasons to be watching. Not all of the playoff spots are decided by a long shot, and the games all have some type of importance to the teams. Week 17 NFL Picks can sometimes be tricky due to teams resting starters and other unique situations that happen towards the end of the season. Here are game by game week 17 NFL predictions that are sure to help you prepare for your office pool!

Carolina at Atlanta

The Panthers do not stand to gain or lose anything in this matchup with Atlanta, and neither really does Atlanta. It is possible that Atlanta might rest the starters, so Carolina is far from a pushover in this NFC South matchup. In fact I expect that Carolina will win a meaningless game here just because they are hungry for one.

Winner - Carolina Panthers

Pittsburgh at Cleveland

The Steelers are looking at a playoff game in the near future while the Browns are likely looking at yet another head coaching move. I expect that the Steelers will handle their business here with no problems.

Winner - Pittsburgh Steelers

Minnesota at Detroit

The Vikings have got to be wishing this season was over, while the Lions have to be excited about their future. That excitement will translate into a win for the Lions whether Favre is under center or not.

Winner - Detroit Lions

Oakland at Kansas City

The Raiders showed some signs of life this season and the Chiefs completely turned things around. At home in KC, expect the Chiefs to win handily.

Winner - Kansas City Chiefs

Miami at New England

The Dolphins and the Patriots usually put up a good game, and this should be no exception. There is a chance that Brady and company will play very little if at all. No matter, as the Patriots roll over Miami in the cold.

Winner - New England Patriots

Tampa Bay at New Orleans

This game is a huge one for the Tampa Bay Bucs. The Saints are in the playoffs and the Bucs are fighting for the tenth win of their season. This is a huge turnaround and shows what they will be made of in the years to come. Expect the Bucs to pull off the upset.

Winner - Tampa Bay Bucs

Buffalo at NY Jets

Buffalo is not the same team that started the season so poorly, and they will not be an easy win for the Jets. Still, the Jets will take the day.

Winner - New York Jets

Cincinnati at Baltimore

The Bengals and the Ravens are going to do battle with the Ravens and completely dominate the line of scrimmage. Flacco and company will be too much.

Winner - Baltimore Ravens

Jacksonville at Houston

The Jaguars and the Texans will do battle with Houston in the middle of a hail storm of protest about head coach Kubiak. Should he stay or should he go? This game might be part of the answer.

Winner - Jacksonville Jaguars

NY Giants at Washington

The Giants and the Redskins always play a hard fought game regardless of circumstances. Though the circumstances for Washington are dire, I expect an upset in DC.

Winner - Washington Redskins

Dallas at Philadelphia

The Cowboys and the Eagles. Yeah Baby! This is the East at it's best. The Eagles will show the Cowboys why they dominated the East this season, and will head into the playoffs on a roll.

Winner - Philadelphia Eagles

Arizona at San Francisco

Who cares? Not many, but Arizona will steal a win.

Winner - Arizona Cardinals

Chicago at Green Bay

The Bears are going to Green Bay for the grudge match supreme in the NFL. The Packers are going to win going away.

Winner - Green Bay Packers

Tennessee at Indianapolis

Tennessee has absolutely no chance at beating Peyton at home.

Winner - Indianapolis Colts

San Diego at Denver

The Chargers have come up short this season, but they will have plenty of firepower in this one.

Winner - San Diego Chargers

St. Louis at Seattle

The Rams will complete their unexpected run to the top of the NFC West and secure the first playoff game in years.

Winner - St. Louis Rams

I was getting a little nervous at the end of the Indi-Ten game... Although I never would have thought it would be so close.
