Early Week 4 Waiver Pickups - Player Profiles and Stat Projections Will Be Posted Throughout the Week

Week 4 --- QB Rankings --- RB Rankings --- WR Rankings --- TE Rankings --- D Rankings --- Waiver Pickups --- Matchup Picks

.

QUARTERBACK

17. Rex Grossman - Was = @StL --- 29%
While I am still not a true believer in Grossman for this season, I do think he is definitely spot starter worthy this week as he faces a so-so Rams defense. 200-250 passing yards and 1-2 touchdowns are within reach.

18. Matt Hasselbeck - Ten = @Cle --- 29%
The loss of Kenny Britt absolutely hurts the Titans passing attack, but the emergence of Nate Washington and maybe now the more utilized skills of emerging TE Jared Cook should hold Hasselbeck's stat line fairly steady going forward.

19. Sam Bradford - StL = Was --- 70%

20. Colt McCoy - Cle = Ten --- 33%
McCoy isn't a guy who will wow you with a 300 passing yard and 3 touchdown game, but he is a solid QB2 option who is becoming a somewhat reliable steady stat producer in the 200 passing yard and 1 touchdown range each week.

22. Jason Campbell - Oak = NE --- 16%
With quality offensive weapons surrounding him, Campbell could enjoy a very nice stat day against a reeling Patriots pass defense this week. Rookie Denarius Moore is the wildcard who could up Campbell's stats into the 250 passing yard and 2 touchdown range this week.

25. Andy Dalton - Cin = Buf --- 12%

.

RUNNING BACK

18. Daniel Thomas - Mia = @SD --- 68%
After back to back excellent weeks, there is no doubt that Thomas is the feature back for the Dolphins. Currently available in over 30% of 10 team leagues, Thomas could see his percentage owned tag rise to around 85% by the start of week 4.

22. Ryan Grant - GB = Den --- 67%
Racking up 92 rushing yards on just 17 carries against the Chicago Bears defense last week was clearly unexpected. For those of you who gave up on Grant, now may be the time to snatch him back off the waiver wire. It is quite possible that the veteran is finally getting his legs back under him. This week should be an interesting tell tale sign of how the Packers will utilize him going forward.

36. Delone Carter - Ind = @TB --- 15%
Carter did not see much action in last weeks game, but I believe that was mostly because the Colts wanted the veteran Joseph Addai in there to pick up the Steelers blitz packages. A matchup against the less frightening Buccaneers defense could have Carter seeing 10-15 touches. In deep leagues, Carter is worth starting in your flex spot.

44. Roy Helu - Was = @StL --- 34%

45. DeMarco Murray - Dal = Det --- 12%

46. Stevan Ridley - NE = @Oak --- 3%
Clearly playing first fiddle in the Patriots running game, Ridley is an outstanding cheap add this week in all fantasy football leagues. If anything, if you have a roster spot to use on a stash player, Ridley is the guy I would take that chance on this week.

47. Javon Ringer - Ten = @Cle --- 10%
Until Chris Johnson decides to show up and carry the load for the Titans running game, Ringer is a sneaky flex play starting option for fantasy teams in deep leagues.

48. Isaac Redman - Pit = @Hou --- 7%

54. Carnell Williams - StL = Was --- 39%
If Steven Jackson still isn't fully healthy for this game, Williams should once again be a decent flex starting option in most fantasy leagues this week.

.

WIDE RECEIVER

22. Denarius Moore - Oak = NE --- 52%
Coming off of back to back solid games, Moore has an excellent matchup this week against a bad Patriots pass defense. If Jason Campbell can do his job, Moore could easily be looking at a 100 receiving yard day to go along with a touchdown. Available in nearly 50% of 10 team leagues, Moore is an excellent WR3 starter right now and should be owned in nearly 80% of leagues by the beginning of week 4.

25. David Nelson - Buf = @Cin --- 49%
Nelson is playing the role opposite of Stevie Johnson to a tee right now. With a smart QB like Fitzpatrick feeding him the ball, Nelson could easily continue to excel this season in his second fiddle role, as he should receive single coverage on nearly every passing play.

27. Mike Sims-Walker - StL = Was --- 60%

30. Lance Moore - NO = @Jac --- 60%
Back from injury, Moore continues to reel in Drew Brees passes. Anything in the 50-100 receiving yard range is nearly guaranteed, and a touchdown is definitely possible as well. Consider Moore a solid WR3 option this week and definite flex starter option.

38. Nate Washington - Ten = @Cle --- 30%
It will be interesting to see if Kenny Britt's absence helps or hurts Washington's value going forward. In one instance, Washington will get more looks and catches, and in another instance he will be facing the opposing defenses best cornerback and possible double coverage as the Titans do not have another reliable pass catching option right now.

44. Brandon Gibson - StL = Was --- 5%

51. Jabar Gaffney - Was = @StL --- 16%

52. Andre Caldwell - Cin = Buf --- 1%

53. Victor Cruz - NYG = @Ari --- 6%
Cruz broke out big time in last weeks game, and a matchup against a so-so Arizona pass defense could lead to another big week for Cruz if Mario Manningham is once again out for this game.

54. Torrey Smith - Bal = NYJ --- 12%
Extraordinary first career start for Smith last week, but I wouldn't expect that type of production every week. A matchup against the Jets corners could have Smith struggling mightily, however if you are looking for long-term season potential, Smith is an excellent waiver wire pickup grab this week.

74. Titus Young - Det = @Dal --- 4%
The 5th fiddle in the Lions offensive attack, Young continues to make the most of his opportunities. At just 4% owned, Young is an excellent WR flyer option for any fantasy team in a deep league.

.

TIGHT END

6. Fred Davis - Was = @StL --- 66%

12. Brandon Pettigrew - Det = @Dal --- 55%
For everyone who thought it was okay to drop Pettigrew last week, shame on you. Anytime an athletic TE with excellent pass catching ability is partnered with an excellent QB, you should never consider dropping that TE.

15. Jermaine Gresham - Cin = Buf --- 26%

17. Scott Chandler - Buf = @Cin --- 57%
Another week and another touchdown in the books for Chandler, who now has 4 touchdowns on the season. It looks like Fitzpatrick will continue to feed his TE the ball in the red zone, and anytime you have a target who is 6-7.…well I would feed him the ball too.

18. Visanthe Shiancoe - Min = @KC --- 20%

30. James Casey - Hou = Pit --- 2%
Hard to know whether Casey's breakout game last week was for real or just a one week wonder. Oddly enough though, Casey has both TE and RB eligibility in yahoo leagues, so taking a flyer on him could be worth it for many fantasy football teams right now.

.

DEFENSE

4. Minnesota Vikings = @KC --- 22%

8. New Orleans Saints = @Jac --- 72%

9. Atlanta Falcons = @Sea --- 44%

10. Buffalo Bills = @Cin --- 3%

12. Tampa Bay Buccaneers = Ind --- 10%
