Week 7 Defense Rankings - player profiles and stat projections will be updated throughout the week
Week 7 --- QB Rankings --- RB Rankings --- WR Rankings --- TE Rankings --- D Rankings --- Waiver Pickups --- Picks & Predictions
1. Baltimore Ravens = @Jac ----- The Ravens defense has been the best fantasy football scoring defense so far this season, and a matchup against the Jaguars offense led by rookie Blaine Gabbert could easily have the Ravens leading all fantasy defenses this week as well. A couple of sacks, interceptions, and low scoring output is likely.
2. Green Bay Packers = @Min ----- The Packers pass defense has been their weakness all season, and with the rookie Christian Ponder getting the start for the Vikings this week, you have to believe the Packers secondary could finally be in for a good week in this game.
3. New Orleans Saints = Ind ----- Pretty much any defense that plays against the Colts, is worth starting in fantasy football lineups. Probably thought you would never hear that before the season started..........
4. Dallas Cowboys = StL ----- The bruised and battered Rams offense led by possibly the Sam Bradford-less QB position, could be in for another long gameday this week against the Cowboys defense.
5. Chicago Bears = @TB ----- The Chicago Bears defense has not been great this season, but with Josh Freeman playing as a wildcard right now from week to week, you have to like the Bears chances of tallying some turnovers.
6. Pittsburgh Steelers = @Ari ----- The Steel Curtain Defense has certain not shown up yet this season, and a matchup against Kevin Kolb and Larry Fitzgerald doesn't look great for the Steelers this week either. However there is still plenty of potential for the Steelers to tally sacks and turnovers.
7. San Diego Chargers = @NYJ ----- Mark Sanchez just doesn't pose much of a threat to the Chargers secondary, and the Jets offensive line and running game hasn't been good either. The Chargers defense is definitely worth a flyer this week in fantasy football starting lineups.
8. New York Jets = SD ----- Yes the Jets defense has been relatively bad so far this season, but with the strength of the Jets defense being their pass defense, and the strength of the chargers offense being their pass offense, it should be an interesting matchup that the Jets have a good possibility of winning and creating some turnovers.
9. Detroit Lions = Atl ----- The Falcons offense is potent, which is why the Lions defense is iffy to rely on as a starting option in most fantasy football lineups this week. However with that said, if Julio Jones is still injured and out, then the Lions defense becomes a better option this week.
10. Oakland Raiders = KC ----- Very tempting to roll the dice on the Raiders defense this week against a Chiefs offense that you never know what will happen. However with that said, the potential for Matt Cassel to Dwayne Bowe is somewhat scary against the Raiders defense this week.
11. Houston Texans = @Ten ----- The Texans defense has not been as good as earlier in the season, and the loss of Mario Williams clearly hurts, but a matchup against a so-so Titans offense could lead to a solid day for the Texans defense this week.
12. Atlanta Falcons = @Det ----- The loss of Jahvid Best should easily make the Lions offense less potent and more one dimensional. The Falcons defense is not a great option, but they could be worth a spot start if needed.
13. Tennessee Titans = Hou
14. Arizona Cardinals = Pit
15. Denver Broncos = @Mia ----- I absolutely do not trust the Broncos defense, but if you are looking for a super cheap defense to fill in this week, they are a high potential play against a very weak Dolphins offense.
16. Seattle Seahawks = @Cle
17. Jacksonville Jaguars = Bal
18. Tampa Bay Buccaneers = Chi
19. Kansas City Chiefs = @Oak ----- Carson Palmer is sure to be rusty.......so a couple of sacks and or interceptions is easily within reach for the Chiefs defense this week.
20. Minnesota Vikings = GB
21. Carolina Panthers = Was
22. Cleveland Browns = Sea
23. Washington Redskins = @Car
24. Miami Dolphins = Den
25. St. Louis Rams = @Dal
26. Indianapolis Colts = @NO
BYE WEEK
Philadelphia Eagles = bye
New York Giants = bye
New England Patriots = bye
San Francisco 49ers = bye
Cincinnati Bengals = bye
Buffalo Bills = bye
