My current prediction record for the 2010 NFL season is 44 and 30 not counting the Monday night game in week five. So for your office football pool week six picks, you should just pick opposite of what I did! Click here to see my week five picks.
Week Six NFL game predictions for the 2010 season
Miami at Green Bay
The Dolphins travel north to the not yet frozen tundra of Green Bay. The Packers lack a good running game and have a very overrated defense. The Dolphins seem to have failed in their latest look for a Dan Marino replacement. Editied to change original pick due to Packers injury concerns. Miami wins 17 to 10.
Detroit at New York Giants
The Giants are looking good and have the best young receiver in the game in Nicks. Detroit finally got a little help from their defense in their first win and one of the few I predicted correctly last week. Giants win 28 to 21.
Seattle at Chicago
I like the fact that Seattle is trying to improve in during the season by trading for Lynch from Buffalo. But Lynch is not the fix this team needs and I think the Seahawks are a bad team. Chicago beat a terrible offensive team in Carolina with two backup quarterbacks and this team will play hard. Chicago welcomes back Jay Cutler with a 17 to 14 win over Seattle.
New Orleans at Tampa Bay
Tampa Bay is off to a shocking 3-1 start and the Saints are shocked to be 3-2 so far in the 2010 NFL season. The Saints are very banged up on offense and the defense just isn't that good. New Orleans does defend the pass better than the run as do the Bucs. I am picking Tampa in a mild upset to win 24 to 21.
Atlanta at Philadelphia
There is a slight chance that Michael Vick will be recovered from his injury to play against his old team. Even if he does there will be less drama since the game is in Philly. Look for a strong Atlanta team to take care of business. My week six NFL game pick is Atlanta 24, Philadelphia 21.
Kansas City at Houston
The Chiefs played the Colts close in their only loss of the season but this is a young team with no passing attack, not a good situation. Houston seemed to have lost their heart or else I had them overrated all season. Still I think KC is a bit of a fraud (and I am a Chiefs fan) Houston wins 31 to 17.
This Charger's team loves to play down to the level of their competition but that pretty low with a bad Rams team. The Rams are a little banged up and will lose in week six, 21 to 14, to the Chargers.
Cleveland at Pittsburgh
These division games always seem to be close and I wonder if Big Ben's return will mess up the Steelers chemistry. I think it will not and the Steelers win 17 to 7.
Baltimore at New England
The Patriots may not have Randy Moss anymore but they have Tom Brady and Bill Belichick which may be enough. Ray Rice finally showed up last week for the Ravens who look solid at times and not so great at times. My free week six NFL game predictions is the Patriots win at home, 24 to 21.
New York Jets at Denver
Denver's defense leaves something to be desired but they can pass the ball and expect to have their injured running back, again. The Jets are a solid if not great defensive team with a better than expected offense. My free week six NFL prediction is the Jets win 27 to 24.
Oakland at San Francisco
The battle of the bay leaves something to be desired as both teams suck these days. At least the Raiders show some heart and I think they win this one 21 to 14.
Dallas at Minnesota
The last time these two teams played the Vikings killed the Cowboys and Keith Brooking cried like a little girl about them running up the score. Randy Moss has always been a Cowboy killer because they didn't draft him. I think the Vikings take this one 31 to 28.
Indianapolis at Washington
The Colts are learning that Peyton Manning needs help and this team isn't as good as last year's version. Washington has been steady under Mike Shanahan and Donovan McNabb. Week six upset pick, Washington keeps the ball away from Manning and wins 17 to 14.
Week Six Monday Night Prediction
Tennessee at Jacksonville
The Titans are riding high after knocking off the Cowboys in Dallas and the Jaguars have won two in a row. The Titans defense is overrated and gives up chunks of yards but now always lots of points. Jacksonville has a decent defense but struggles on offense most of the time. Chris Johnson prime times it up and the Titans win 24 to 17.

I had to change my initial pick for the Miami/Green Bay game, too. The Packers are in a world of hurt right now.
