The Panthers cut many veteran players in a cost cutting move and didn't replace them. Lame duck coach John Fox was forced to go into the season with three young quarterbacks and a slew of rookie wide receivers. Due to poor offense this team may not win a game in 2010.
Ok yes the Bills do suck and even cut their former starting quarterback Trent Edwards. But at least they have the potential to score points.
This team has some of the pieces but lack of a quarterback and a quality coaching staff hurts them.
I love Sam Bradford but the team sucks on defense and is banged up on offense.
Mike Singletary has lost this team and actually had two players retire rather than play for the 49ers. There is enough talent to win the terrible NFC West but not under this coach.
The Lions are scrappy and actually have a good offense even with a backup quarterback in Hill. But the Lions defense is a year or more away from respectability.
The Seahawks have an old quarterback and a coach who left college football because his players had to take a pay cut to play in the NFL. I do respect the trade to get Lynch to help their running game. I just wonder if somebody can sue them for bringing a known criminal into Seattle.
The Cardinals have gone back to what they were before their Super Bowl run. A team that won't spend money to win.
The Raiders at least have heart and Al Davis seems to be meddling less than he usually does.
The Cowboys have imploded and will cost Wade Phillips his job maybe even before the season ends.
Denver has the best quarterback in the NFL that nobody talks about in Kyle Orton, sadly that is about all they have.
They are not the team they used to be and need some playmakers on offense to help Gates and Rivers.
Carson Palmer is not having a good season and it's hurting this team badly.
Favre is old and possibly a pervert. The rest of the team is just old but Randy Moss may strike a spark or split the locker room.
The Bucs are a year away but Josh Freeman is playing some outstanding football for a 2nd year NFL quarterback.
A decent offense that is pretty good when Vick is playing but a bad O line. Defense misses the late Jim Johnson more and more.
All flash and no substance. Team can't win big games with an old but opportunistic defense and no running game.
15 Miami Dolphins
A franchise quarterback away from being really good.
Great running game and an improving passing game along with a decent but not great defense makes this team a little dangerous.
The offense is improving but I am not sure the team will keep Del Rio's job for him when, they fall off.
The Chiefs have an improving defense and good special teams, but no passing game will hurt them in the end.
A year away on offense but does Lovie Smith have another year?
Solid under Shanahan and McNabb but lack of overall talent will catch up with them this season.
Solid but the running game needs help and Moss won't be missed except on the field.
Bradshaw, Nicks and Manning are some nice weapons and the defense finally showed up.
This banged up team will be much improved if/when Brees and the gang gets healthy.
Houston has a running game and a great passing game but the defense leaves a little to be desired.
They need to stay healthy but this team will be dangerous in the playoffs with that running game.
4 Indianapolis Colts
I probably have them ranked too high due to Peyton Manning. This team is not near as good as last year.
The Steelers come in at number three on my NFL power rankings for week six. Big Ben will make this team nearly unbeatable if he is on his A game and don't upset the team chemistry.
The offense is not quite as good as I thought it would be and the defense is showing their age. But the Ravens are hard to beat.
I thought the Jets were overrated due to Mark Sanchez but he has stepped up. They need some help for LaDainian Tomlinson though if he shows his age.

Post a CommentI think the Panthers need to stick to their identity. If they can't pass, then start running like it's 2008. By the way, John Fox is a good coach. I met him once along with three other coaches.
showing you some age love!
thanks for the Week Six Power Rankings
I like your choices, Randy, will be watching for changes, especially my Giants!
Think it'll be Houston this year?
Houston has surprised the heck out of me.
Great rankings. They're very similar to mine with biggest difference looking like the Jaguars and that's only by like 7 places.
