Week Three NFL Game Predictions

Thanks for checking out my game predictions for week three of the 2010 NFL season. I also did free game predictions for week one and two which you can see in the sources below. My current record for the 2010 NFL season is 22 and 9 not counting the Monday Night game in week two. I wrote this before that game was played.

I have prepared my week 3 NFL game predictions with office football pools in mind. These are just straight game picks for week 3 and I did not use the point spread. Titans at the Giants

Vince Young and Chris Johnson bring their show on the road to take on Eli Manning and the New York Giants. The Titans seem like a solid team with a good defense that will win some home games. Don't worry about Kerry Collins taking Young's job just yet.I am taking the Giants to win this game in the Meadowlands. My week 3 NFL game pick is for the Giants to win 24 to 14.

San Francisco at Kansas City

I think Kansas City is getting better and that the 49ers are jumping off Mike Singletary's ship. Look for the Chiefs to win 17 to 10 at Arrowhead Stadium, probably with special teams playing a factor. The Chiefs need to get some sort of passing game going and get Charles some more touches.

Pittsburgh at Tampa Bay

The Steelers defense is possibly the best in the NFL but their offense is struggling a little bit with the suspension of Ben Roethlisberger and an injury to Dennis Dixon. Tampa Bay is playing much better than last season but have defeated two creampuffs in Cleveland and Carolina. Tampa quarterback Josh Freeman is the real deal but I don't think he will fare well against the Steelers. My week 3 NFL prediction is Pittsburgh 10 Tampa 3.

Detroit at Minnesota

The Lions are better than last year and rookie running back Jahvid Best is awesome but the team is missing Matt Stafford. Minnesota has struggled but I think they get their first win, 24 to 17.

Atlanta at New Orleans

The Falcons were Super Bowl picks by many but I am not sure they are quite that good. NFC South games tend to be won by the home team. Drew Brees and company beats Atlanta 31 to 24.

Cleveland at Baltimore

The Browns suck and I don't see them improving until they get a new coach, a quarterback and some receivers. Baltimore was my preseason Super Bowl pick for the AFC but their offense isn't what I thought it would be. The aging by the minute Ravens defense will feast on Cleveland. My free week 3 NFL game prediction is Baltimore17 Cleveland 10.

Buffalo at New England

The Buffalo Bills may be the worst team in football and take on a ticked off Patriots team coming off a loss to the Jets. New England defeats Buffalo 31 to 13.

Cincinnati at Carolina

The Panthers are sitting this season out and may start rookie quarterback Jimmy Clausen who relieved a struggling Matt Moore in a loss to the Bucs. The Bengals are a hot and cold team but should beat the Panthers 21 to 14. If Carolina does win it will be with the running game, as the Bengals can't stop the run very well.

Dallas at Houston

The NFL battle of Texas happens when the Cowboys travel to Houston to take on the Texans. Dallas has offensive line troubles and until they are ironed out then America's Team is in trouble. Houston wins 27 to 23.

Washington at St. Louis

The Redskins can score and move the ball on offense with Donovan McNabb but their defense leaves a little to be desired. The Rams have no weapons on offense other than Stephen Jackson, though I do like Bradford. Washington wins in week three, 24 to 7.

Philadelphia at Jacksonville

Michael Vick and Kevin Kolb are in a quarterback controversy and the Eagles defense sucks. Jacksonville has no quarterback and a fan base that won't support the team. I think the Eagles win this one 28 to 24.

San Diego at Seattle

Seattle showed their true colors in week two by losing badly to Denver. San Diego is missing some offensive weapons due to injury, holdout or suspensions. I think Phillip Rivers is enough for the Chargers to win 24 to 10.

Oakland at Arizona

A battle between two bad teams that benched their quarterbacks in week two, for bad play. When in doubt go with the home team to win in the NFL. Arizona wins 14 to 6.

Indianapolis at Denver

The Broncos looked decent in beating a bad Seattle team and the Colts stomped the Giants. Denver just doe not have the weapons as you will see when the Colts beat the Broncos 31 to 17.

New York Jets at Miami

All you football gamblers looking for a good pick in week three should take the under on this game. I know Mark Sanchez showed some skills against the Patriots but he needs to do that every week. LaDainian Tomlinson has found the fountain of youth in New York. I wonder how healthy Revis will be after pulling a hamstring following Randy Moss into the end zone. The Dolphins win like the Jets with defense and ball control. The Dolphins defense is very good on 3^rd down with opponents only getting the first down 8 of 28 tried this season. My free week three NFL prediction is Miami squeaks by 13 to 10.

Monday Night Game

Green Bay at Chicago

Look for 100 passes to be thrown between these two passing teams. Both Green Bay and Chicago look improved from 2009. I believe that Matthews will be the key to the game for the Packers; he has had three sacks in each game so far. Green Bay beats Chicago 31 to 27.
