Weekend Escape at Main Beach, East Hampton, NY

Plan Your Summer Getaway Today

With the weather FINALLY starting to warm up, I've been on a mission to find a decent beach to spend my weekends in NY. I was pleasantly surprised to come upon Main Beach in East Hampton. It's actually one of the top rated beaches in the United States, open year-round, sunrise to sunset. The white sand, crystal clear water and gorgeous people are only a few reasons this beach is so popular. Prices can be a little steep and large crowds are to be expected (especially in the summer months), but Main Beach is truly a unique and gratifying experience. East Hampton is known for being posh and fabulous, so visitors are always on the look out for local celebrities (Martha Stewart and Steven Spielberg) enjoying the natural beauty this destination has to offer. For you athletes out there, the powerful waves are a favorite among surfers. Be sure to check out the bulletin boards for surf instructors and play a little volleyball to get your adrenaline pumping. You can also explore acres of sensational white pines in Northwest Woods, admire the colonial houses, pop into museums, party it up at trendy clubs, shop til you drop and treat yourself to some delicious lobster rolls. This charming town is quite simply a perfect getaway from the
non-stop frenzy of Manhattan.
