On day one, which will be designated at the start of the week, You should develop a mindset that you can repeat to yourself over and over again. This mindset should specify that some stress is good. It is important that we experience small amounts of stress in order to continue to be challenged regularly.
Day two is about protection from others. You should further understand that there are bound to be people who are more stressed than you. In order to prevent their stress from becoming contagious, you should learn to ignore the effects from their exposure. You can always go back and teach them what you have learned about how to effectively manage stress levels.
Day three is learning from the masters. Make some observations. You should be able to pick out the people who have been exposed to higher levels of stress, and see how they are remaining calm. It doesn't hurt to ask them how they are dealing with the added stress. They may be able to provide you with some very valuable advice.
Day four is beginning to learn ways to calm yourself. You can learn some quick meditation techniques, such as deep breathing, or even some yoga techniques that you can do while sitting at your desk. The easiest thing to do when you are starting to get over-stressed is to stop and take a step back. Take a little break and completely leave the room. Detach yourself for a short period to allow your mind a chance to rejuvenate a little.
Day five is learning how to be positive and nixing those negative thoughts in the butt. Quite frequently, we tend to respond to higher levels of stress by feeling and thinking that nothing good will happen now. This is not really the case, and this type of negative thinking can only cause you to be more stressed and less productive.
The sixth day is about learning where your breaking points are. You should already have an idea, but you need to pinpoint just how much stress is too much. This will help you learn how to effectively ward off excessive amounts of stress and keep yourself from getting really stressed out.
The final day is taking acre of yourself. We seem to be stuck in a loop of getting overworked. This adds to stress levels, but it also hurts our bodies. It is imperative that we eat right, getting plenty of sleep, and of course exercise regularly in order to maintain healthy bodies. Our brains depend on our bodies, and if one is not healthy the other will suffer.
