Weeping May Endure for a Night, but Joy Cometh in the Morning

The Preparation Phase to Receiving Your Heart's Desires

Clive McPherson
Whether you believe it or not, everything happens for a reason and the events of your life regardless of your perception, good or bad, are preparing you for something which will manifest later in your life. Your readiness to receive what manifests is dependent on your willingness to allow the preparation phase to run its full course and absorb the lessons being taught during the process.

The preparation phase may not necessarily be a hard one but we often make it so because we are not willing to change. I've lost count of how many times I read in the newspaper of someone winning a large sum of money, only to end up penniless several years later. They did not go through a preparation phase on how to manage money, and more importantly they were unwilling to change the way they managed their money in the past. They refused to take advantage of the opportunity that came with the financial blessing to develop their state of mind regarding financial management.

Later on in life we find that we can look back on our so called dark season and draw knowledge, wisdom and strength from having gone through the experience.

When you ask universal intelligence, the source, God, whatever name you wish to use (I'll use God), for your heart's desires he has to prepare you to receive it. The preparation phase can be a confusing period to go through, because often-times it is not an easy road to walk, because it is designed to take you out of your comfort zone and propel you into a new phase of your life where you begin to experience life and all that it has to offer from a completely different perspective.

You unknowingly fight against what is necessary for you to realize your heart's desire, because it may not be comfortable and it's forcing you to change. How many times in your life have you refused to go somewhere or do something simply because it was outside your comfort zone?

In the case of the people winning large sums of money and then quickly losing it. They stayed within their comfort zone of ignorance to financial management. They were comfortable spending the money, but not in learning how to leverage the benefits of wise investments.

You may feel as though you are alone, you don't see it as a preparation phase and think that life is being cruel to you.

The following is an extract from an email sent to from a friend when I was going through one my many dark seasons of life:

Destruction precedes renewal.

Before you pierce an abscess with a knife how can it heal and how can you regain your health?
Piercing the abscess causes pain, but restored health soon follows.

When a tailor cuts up a cloth piece by piece, does anyone go up to him and say, why have you torn up this beautiful satin?
The beautiful satin has to be cut into obscure pieces, but soon those pieces are joined to make a beautiful dress.

If you don't subject wheat to the grinding millstone how will bread ever come to decorate your table?

Don't worry; everything happens for a reason, count all of your pain as Joy.

As you were growing up from childhood, you may have gone through several changes relating to dreams you wished to fulfill in your life; however as you got older you tossed your dreams aside and replaced them with things you consider necessary to conduct your everyday life.

Well, it's now time for you to revisit those dreams, you've been weeping for long enough, and joy is knocking at your door.

I have just shared with you a small snippet on my own life experiences and the lessons I've learned.
