Weighing Heavy; I

Weighing Heavy; I.

people -
ideas -
beliefs -
loves -
these
fickle

as the mind
human
which conjures
their evolving state; at best
temporary friends; out
as fast as
in
fashion;

making for fair-weather
bedfellows to philosophers.

Time.
Time
makes the one exception,
the one true companion
for the acolyte
of Boethius' Lady - and Time
weighs heavy on the man
and His mind.

Time - and Her
thoughts press
against
His thought;

isn't that true
for most things? isn't it typical
of humans to always want
what we can not - do not -
have?

Now, He tells, now She speaks
His language, His story - He hears
Her thoughts, and they set
the Night air a-fire, and Time -

Her thoughts
press
against
His thought.
