Weight Gaining Myths

Logan Banner
Many skinny men have tried there hardest to put on weight. Why do most of these men want to gain weight. The reason is simple; No one wants to be a skinny little wimp. Think about it. The people who usually have muscle are usually the ones that are getting noticed by the opposite sex. But while you are going through your journey of trying to gain more muscle mass, there are certain myths that you need to look out for. In this article, I want to expose those myths. Lets begin.

Myth 1- I'll Never Gain Weight

One of the myths guys who are skinny tell themselves is that they will never gain any weight. There mindset is this, " I have been skinny all of my life and I have tried everything. I just can't gain weight. This is a lie. Gaining weight is just following a specific outline process. That is it. There is no magic to it. No pill, no potion, or magic weight can put the size that you want on your body. It is all about following a specific process. This works ever time for anyone that wants to grow muscle.

Myth 2- All You Have To Do Is Lift Weights

When someone who is skinny ask someone how to gain weight. The typical answer is this, "Just go and lift weights". Here is the truth. Lifting weights alone will not get you the size that you want. Lifting weights is only half the battle. Lets take a look at this for a minute. Most skinny guys go to the gym for months and months, but they do not get the results they are looking for. They follow every weight lifting routine, and they even go as heavy as they possibly can. They do this for five to six months and guess what, they are the same size that they were when they first started. Lifting weights alone will not get you the size that you are looking for.

Myth 3- I Eat All The Time

When guys in the gym come to me complaining on how they can not grow, my first question is how often are you eating? Usually they're reply is this, "I eat all the time". Most beginners think that eating junk counts as eating all off the time. As I stated before, gaining weight is just a simple process. All you have to do is follow it. You have to eat and eat constantly to gain weight. Eating one extra meal a day is not going to get you the size that you want. A rule of thumb is to eat every three hours. Eating every three hours will charge your body up with the nutrition it needs to grow.

There you have. Myths can be very dangerous. People usually take them as dogma and it hinders there process of what they want to accomplish. Remember, gaining weight is a process. Follow it and you will get the results you are looking for.
