Weight loss is more than just a new hobby; it is a complete and total change to the way you behave. Being overweight is unhealthy, and going on a weight loss plan is the way to regain your health.

The first thing you have to do is to control your weight and stop any weight gain. Continuing to gain weight will cause many health problems that you just do not want in your life.

You must become aware of what you eat and when. Watch yourself during the day, keep a small notebook with you at all times, and every time you eat, write it down. Be honest with yourself, no one else is going to see the book, so write it down.

Gain control of yourself

After a few days of writing down everything you have eaten, take a look at what information is on those pages. You have just discovered your current plan that you are on. Yes, you are on a plan, the make a heavier you plan.

Now you need to replace the heavier you plan with a weight loss plan. There are many plans out there; you may have even tried one or two. They must not have been right for you as you are still on the heavier you plan.

Choosing a weight loss plan

One of the key things to look for in a weight loss plan is the ability to choose different foods, and the variety of exercise that you have choices to do. A secret to a successful plan is variety, so you do not get bored with the plan and quit.

Another factor to look for is if it is something you can do for the rest of your life. The reason you must think that way is that you are on the heavier you plan and that would have lasted the rest of your life. So now, you need a healthier you plan that will replace the old plan.

Start out easy then go pro

Like all new things, changing your eating habits and activity levels will take a little effort at first. As you do the plan, the repetitions will become natural, and your new habits will replace your old habits. Being on the weight loss plan will get easier and easier, you will soon find that it is a natural part of your life, and that is when you will realize that you have changed your life for the better.

Soon after that, you will see the weight loss and feel better. You will have crossed the threshold of a new and better life for yourself. Then when it is time to buy smaller clothes you will fully come to accept that your life has changed and you are becoming who you really want to be.
