Weight loss hypnosis is based on the power of suggestion. The more you believe in it the more it will work. It works on the placebo effect that doesn't really unlock or change anything but instead empowers the person to do something that they seriously believed they couldn't do without some sort of magical intervention. The idea of weight loss hypnosis isn't exclusive to weight loss at all. They have hypnosis to stop smoking or any other bad habit or weakness that can be capitalized on. Some people will swear by the results but what they don't understand is nothing in their brain chemistry has changed and they did it on their own.
With that said credit must be given to the idea of weight loss hypnosis as it does give people confidence to succeed, it's just like how participants in weight loss studies are broken up into two groups, group A gets the placebo, while group B gets the weight loss pill but all the participants think that they were given the weight loss pill and the test will show people lost weight on both sides.People are extremely susceptible to manipulation and this is what weight loss hypnosis plays on. Unfortunately not everyone believes what they are told and the power of suggestion just doesn't work on them making weight loss hypnosis a huge waste of time and money, but luckily it is these people who are most likely to succeed by taking direction from a personal trainer and being patient for the results to show. Weight loss isn't a hard issue at all. If you can balance a check book you can lose weight.
The psychology of weight loss is totally irrational where people want to lose weight as fast as possible with as little work and sacrifice as possible.
