Weight Loss With SparkPeople

24 percent or more Americans are obese or overweight. The side of a person's girth has turned into a national epidemic. There are over a hundred weight loss programs and fad diets on the market today. Which is the best? Which weight loss program will curb my hunger? Which weight loss has a high success rate?

As a person who has struggle with my weight all my life, I have tried a lot of weight loss programs out there. I've been on programs that have been successful and only failed because of my lack of dedication. I've been on a weight loss program that put me in the hospital for thirty days.

SparkPeople is the weight loss program that I think are the best on the market. I have tried all three and have been successful at all three.

SparkPeople.com is my favorite weight loss program. Actually it's more of a way of life than a weight loss program. The best thing about SparkPeople as a weight loss/lifestyle program is that it's free!

SparkPeople was the birth child of a man who worked crazy hectic hours and was riding the ups and downs of healthy rollercoaster because of the demands of his life. Chris launched SparkPeople in 2002 to help people succeed in health and in life. SparkPeople just recently won Business Weeks "Best of the Web".

What exactly is SparkPeople?

SparkPeople is a weight loss and health community. When you first sign up, you are given the tools you will need to help you with your weight loss. You simply fill out some personal information and you are given the amount of calories you should eat and how many calories you should burn to have a healthy weight loss of 1-2 pounds per week.

SparkPeople does stop there. They are committed to helping you to achieve your health and weight loss goals. SparkPeople offers an online calorie counter, fitness program, and fitness demos. They also offer meal plans for those of us that have to eat a special diet.

SparkPeople offers weight loss tips, fitness tips, expert health advice, and expert weight loss advice.

SparkPeople is not just about health and weight loss. They are about community. You have access several forums. There are support teams on SparkPeople. Let me tell you, when your having a tough time or don't see the scale go down. The people in the community and on the support teams are there for you. SparkPeople also gives you access to a personal webpage.

As a member of SparkPeople you are able to blog about your weight loss and health journey. Other members show their support by sending you personal emails and comments.

Does SparkPeople help you lose weight?

Yes, yes & yes! There doesn't seem to be a month that goes where someone is being showcased for their weight loss efforts. Weight loss is totally attainable with SparkPeople. Many of the members have had weight loss of 30,50, and 100 pounds.

Weight loss is not the only benefit. There are great health benefits.

There are many people who report that they don't have asthma anymore. Members are reporting that their diabetes is under control.

The negative side of SparkPeople?

The forums can get a little hectic and difficult to follow. At times it may seem like your in a crowded room and everyone is talking at once. This just comes from the fact that there are so many people who are trying to lose weight and gain health.

The access to the experts is minimal. Don't get me wrong, if they can get to you, they provide some great information. It's just the fact of getting to you. If you are looking for one-on-one online training with a professional then this is not the place to go.

SparkPeople can be time consuming. Though this only happens when you become deeply involved in the weight loss and healthy community. It takes time to comment on people's SparkPages and forum posts.
