Guys? Just show us what needs to be done and let us do it. Simple as that. No expensive commercial weight loss programs or support groups need to be part of the equation.
Guys, listen up. Here's how we do it.
First, admit you need to lose weight. Good. That was not a huge emotional strain, now was it?
Second, use this free tool: Calorie Calculator for Goal Weight to figure out how much weight loss you need and how quickly you want to lose the weight.
Third, use http://www.my-calorie-counter.com to track how many calories you eat and burn each day. The site includes free graphs to track your progress. One warning: the site has a ton of material. After registering, look for the tool called "my calorie counter." This will allow you to keep track of everything you eat. After a few days of tracking, you will become more familiar with the calorie counts of different foods and easily be able to steer yourself toward good foods that don't have high calorie totals.
For exercise, choose a vigorous activity that you like to do and do it each day. Don't stress if you miss a day. Get back to it the following day. Start slow and build up.
Food that I find helpful to work into my daily plan because I like them and they have low calorie totals:
1. Quaker instant oatmeal is a filling breakfast for 130 calories.
2. La Tortilla Factory Whole Wheat Low Carb Low Fat Tortillas 80 calories: good for making a wrap.
3. Nutrigrain cereal bar, surprisingly filling snack for 140 calories.
4. Lean Pockets sandwiches taste pretty good for lunch for about 300 calories.
5. Substitute ak-mak crackers for chips, 116 calories for 5 whole wheat crackers.
6. Trader Joe's Masala Burgers, 120 calories.
7. Subway turkey sandwich with swiss is a great lunch for only 345 calories. That dude Jared is right.
Keep track of your progress and you'll meet your goal before you know it. Best of luck!
