What do you want from life? This is the key to successful weight loss. Just losing weight because others think it is a good idea isn't enough. You have to want to lose weight for yourself, and to do that you have to have a reason to want to live.
It can be reasoned that being obese is a slow form of suicide that a person does not care enough about other things in their life so they overeat as a substitute for all the things that are missing from their life. If you desire to accomplish something, it is up to you to accomplish it.
A reason to live
Do you have aspirations for being someone great? Even a small aspiration of being the best at what you do is better than being just another face in the crowd. To be the best you need to want to be the best. Start out by being the best at what you do for a living, and then when you see that you can, you will realize that if you but act you can achieve anything you want in life.
Remember what you want, think about all the things you have wanted to do, places you have wanted to go, all the activities you have let slide past you because you were too overweight. Write them down, you can either recreate them or accomplish them if you put your mind to it.
Weight loss a part of a winning plan
With the list you have just made, you have a reason to be. You have a purpose; you can do anything you can think of. Now you can lose weight easily, you are not focused on just weight loss, you are focused on living.
A good weight loss plan includes sensible eating and exercise. These combined will retrain your body to lose weight. However, you are not doing it just to lose weight; you are doing it for your own reason. You are in charge of you, you are responsible for you, you control your life, and you will accomplish your dreams and goals.
You cannot fail unless you quit. If you have setbacks learn the lesson and keep moving towards your aspirations. Let the past stay in the past, this is your life and you are going to live it. As you work towards accomplishing your plans and adventures your weight loss plan will work with you. You will lose the weight and become fit, trim, and able.
Soon you will find yourself skiing the Alps, rafting the Amazon, finding your soul mate, dating the doctors instead of being their patient, sitting anywhere you like at the amusement park, loving life, and being happy.
