Weight Watchers' website is featuring a Buff Bride Challenge that isn't just for Brides. With Sue Fleming, the author of Buff Brides: The Complete Guide to Getting in Shape and Looking Great for your Wedding, you can learn how to get fit for any special occasion coming up in the next few months. So, how does it work?

The Concept

Although Fleming stresses that the program is designed for those that would like to get 'buff' for a wedding or special occasion, the real concept behind it is to start on a lifetime path to improved health. In combination with Weight Watcher's (i.e. a healthy diet), this fitness program will help you to tone, strengthen, and feel energized. Hopefully, the improvements to your health and attitude will stick with you even after the special event to become a habitual system of fitness.

Overview

The program's intention is to get you used to proper strength training exercises. It is always rough at first to follow a new regiment and you will need to give it a few weeks to adjust. Fleming suggests that beginners stick with only a few repetitions of each exercise and do it no more than 12 times. The Buff Bride challenge calls for correct form and a few months of commitment to achieve the results you desire.

Sue Fleming recommends you use a variety of home equipment. None of her suggestions seem to be very expensive which include an exercise ball, free weights, and a workout mat. The other items she lists to take the Buff Bride challenge are all common household items such as a coffee table, chair, and mirror. Fleming also suggests you have comfortable sneakers and a water bottle handy.

To be able to find out the full program you will have to either subscribe to Weight Watchers online or have an online code from the meetings. The online program gives you how to videos of each exercise along with other fitness tips and even articles especially for Brides to be. With Weight Watchers new 2007 diet programs you are sure to reach your fitness goals to be a Buff Bride for your upcoming wedding.

Cardio

If you are aiming to lose weight as well as tone your core muscles, than you need to do cardio on at least three of the days off from strength training. By alternating each day you will find that becoming a Buff Bride will give you added energy and stamina to meet your pre-wedding goals. Fleming reminds Buff Bride's to be to do proper stretching before and after your cardio work out as well. Be sure to warm up a little before you stretch and begin your workout to prevent injury.

So don't just sit around and plan the wedding decorum. Take the Buff Bride Challenge and keep up with the demands of planning the big day.
