The first thing I want to point out, that was quite disappointing, is the amount of ingredients on the package. It seems to go on and on and many of the ingredients are not real food. I'm a firm believer that less is more when it comes to my food and I also like knowing what the ingredients are when I read the list.
With that being said, I did like the chocolate and pretzel combination in this bar. The bar reminded me a lot of the Take 5 candy bar from Hershey's, but also had the texture of a Slim Fast bar. There were pretzel pieces in the bar, which added a nice texture, but the rest of the bar was rather chewy. All and all, the bar had an average taste and was nothing special.
I think it's important to note that these bars are rather small. They are a hair bigger than snack size candy bars, but are still quite satisfying. In fact, I like their small size because sometimes I just want a bit of something sweet and not a large candy bar. A box of 12 Weight Watchers Chocolate Blast Bars cost $7.50. That's around $0.62 per bar, which does seem a bit high.
One bar contains 70 calories, 2 grams of fat, 1.5 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans-fat, 0mg of cholesterol, 75mg of sodium, 45mg of potassium, 13 grams of carbohydrates, 3 grams of fiber, 6 grams of sugar, 1 gram of protein and a PointsPlus value of 2.
I would give Weight Watchers Chocolate Pretzel Blast Bars 3 out of 5 stars. There were things I liked about this snack, but also things I didn't like about it. I don't know if I would recommend them or not, but know that I wouldn't buy them again.
