Because the latest Weight Watchers plan takes carbohydrates into account, finding a salty snack can be difficult. Thankfully, Weight Watchers makes many of their own snacks that have a low PointsPlus value. One of the snacks I ordered from their store were the Dijon Pretzel Thins. I have to admit that I was a little skeptical about trying them, but they came inside a value pack I was ordering so I decided to give them a shot. Would they be as good as the other Weight Watchers snacks?
When I poured a package of the pretzels onto my plate, I was surprised at the amount. It was actually a good amount. It was more than enough to enjoy along side the Lean Pocket I was having for lunch. Of course, size isn't everything. A snack has to taste good to keep you satisfied.
With the first bite I took, I knew these were something special. I liked the mustard flavor, though I would have preferred a yellow mustard over Dijon. Still, the flavor was quite pleasing, but what I loved most was the texture. The thin texture adds such a wonderful snap and provides a good amount of chewing, which can help you feel satisfied. I could easily see myself munching away on these while watching a movie.
These snacks are a bit pricey, costing $4.50 for a box of six. However, you can save a bit of money by purchasing the value packs, which comes with four different types of salty snacks for only $15.95.
A serving of Weight Watchers Dijon Pretzel Thins contains 110 calories, 2 grams of fat, 0 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans-fat, 0mg of cholesterol, 340mg of sodium, 22 grams of carbohydrates, 1 gram of fiber, 2 grams of sugar, 3 grams of protein, 2% of your daily iron and a PointsPlus value of 3.
I would have to give these snacks 4 out of 5 stars. I love the texture, but would have preferred a yellow mustard flavor. I can see myself ordered these again and would highly recommend them. They are the perfect alternative to other salty snacks that have a higher PointsPlus value and are perfect to snack on or have as a side to a sandwich.
