I've been on the Weight Watchers plan for almost three months now and one thing that bugged me when I first started was the lack of a good app. While there was an app to check a food's PointsPlus value, Android didn't have a full Weight Watchers app. Thankfully, that has recently changed. If you've wanted to track your progress while out and about or wanted to check a PointsPlus value, but didn't have the nutritional information, you're in luck. The Weight Watchers Mobile Android App does almost everything the website does.
First of all, I love that you can track how many points you have left with this app. If that was all the app did I would be thrilled. Thankfully though, it does a whole lot more. For example, there is a restaurant list when you go to track an item that allows you to easily search for foods at many of the leading chain restaurants. If you have the nutritional information in front of you, but the item isn't listed on the phone, you can also use the PointsPlus calculator, which is conveniently built-in. You can also track your weight, your healthy checks and enter in your exercise.
Of course, that isn't all. The app also allows you to read articles, success stories, look at recipes, find a nearby meeting and even create a shopping list. You can even access the cheat sheets, which will make eating in restaurants even easier. In other words, pretty much everything you need from the Weight Watchers site is on this app. But, I haven't mentioned the best part. The Weight Watchers Mobile Android App is free to use as long as you're a Weight Watchers member.
I would have to give this app 5 out of 5 stars. Not only is it easy to use, but it has all the information I need to stay on track while I'm away from home. There's no more guessing about the PointsPlus value of restaurant foods or not having time to track. I can do everything straight from my phone, which makes my life easier.
