Weight Watchers New PointsPlus (+) Program ~ My Story ~ Part 14

Glad I Returned to Finish the Job!

This week the meeting topic was recognizing and celebrating your strengths. We went around the room and members told us their strengths. I was happy to say that for the first time ever; I completed journaling my food, feelings and exercise in the 3 Month Tracker. What an accomplishment this was for me because previously, I would never get past the second week of writing down everything that I ate. I also got to reading over the materials that I received on the first day of the new PointsPlus program and I purchased a monthly pass; furthering my commitment to a new me.

At the scale I lost another 0.4 which is almost a half of a pound. Not quite the ginormous numbers some people shout out in the meeting, but for my age and medical history, it is quite an accomplishment and this gives me a three month total of 13.4 pounds and a total for my all time of 27.2 pounds.

The weekly brochure that I received at the scale had a picture of a member who has become a hiker, biker and runner since joining Weight Watchers.

The articles are one from Jennifer Hudson who is a true role model. She has overcome adversity and become a truly beautiful woman both inside and out. Jennifer said "every day I look in the mirror and my face or my body is changing. Change is exciting and change is good. Embrace it." Anyone who saw her on American Idol back when she was overweight can attest to the beautiful change she has made.

The second topic featured on the cover is by Jessica Wozinsky, Associate Editor of Weight Watchers Magazine. Her subject is beating the winter workout blues. The article gives us different ways to avoid boredom; downloading good catchy songs from iTunes and go for a walk. She bought a hula hoop to use during commercials of her favorite programs. She also tried three machines that she never uses at the gym. So these are just a few ideas and if you are reading this; I'm sure you have a few ideas of your own, so go do it!
