Weight Watchers Snack Size Ice Cream Sandwiches Review

Amy Brantley
There is something wonderful about the classic ice cream sandwich. I still remember eating them as a child and having the ice cream run down my fingers in the hot summer months. Of course, we all know that this isn't the healthiest treat you could eat. Thankfully, Weight Watchers has come up with a way to cut the fat and calories so that you can enjoy a taste of summer without gaining any weight.

The first thing I loved about Weight Watchers Snack Size Dutch Chocolate and Vanilla Bean Ice Cream Sandwiches was the flavor. I mean, how many other companies offer such great flavors? Normally, it's a cheap vanilla or chocolate ice cream that invades your ice cream sandwich. That's not so with Weight Watchers. The chocolate had to be my favorite. The chocolate reminded me of the fudge bars that the company also makes and tastes like some of the best chocolate ice cream I've ever had. The vanilla is also tasty, but not as flavorful.

The second thing I loved was the size. These ice cream sandwiches offer a great flavor in a small package. This means you can enjoy one after a big meal without feeling stuffed or guilty, because the small size also affects the amount of fat and calories and the PointsPlus value.

One Weight Watchers Snack Size Ice Cream Sandwich contains 80 calories, 1 gram of fat, 0 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans-fat, less than 5mg of cholesterol, 75mg of sodium, 18 grams of carbohydrates, 2 grams of fiber, 8 grams of sugar, 2 grams of protein, 2% of your daily Vitamin A, 4% calcium, 2% of your daily iron in the chocolate flavor and a PointsPlus value of 2.

I would have to give the Weight Watchers Snack Size Dutch Chocolate and Vanilla Bean Ice Cream Sandwiches 4 out of 5 stars. The only reason I knock off 1 star is that the vanilla flavor is a bit bland. Other than that, I loved these bars and highly recommend them to anyone trying to watch their weight. With only 80 calories and 1 gram of fat, how could you not want to keep these in your freezer?
