If not it may be time to take a more realistic look at your lifestyle and focus particularly on what if any changes you have made or should make.
You may find that you made a goal or resolved to lose weight, this year but did not make the changes needed in order to do so. However, if you have made changes and are still not losing weight as expected you may need to visit your doctor. Because there are some medical conditions that will make it a little more difficult to lose weight.
A few medical conditions that you may be unaware of that may cause it to be a little more difficult to lose weight are Hashinontoes disease, Hypothyroid disease, Poly Cystic, Ovarian Syndrome, depression, *depression may also cause some people to lose weight, however not everyone who is depressed loses weight, some gain adding to the depression I might add.
A high stress lifestyle may also cause you to find a great deal of difficulty in losing weight. This is especially true if it is stress caused by your personal environmental conditions, due to unemployment issues, or medical conditions.
Stress is the number one trigger in all medical conditions other than those that are inherited that you may have present since birth.
Losing weight for your health or just so that you can wear nicer clothing, is a good idea. However, if you don't have a workable plan it is highly likely that you will fail, in your endeavor to lose the desired amount of weight.
Also something else to remember just because you lose weight does not mean that you have done enough to improve your looks or health. If you have lost weight slowly, and consistently, through diet and exercise, and have learned to drink plenty of water, you will find that your personal appearance is much better, and also you will feel better.
When you crash diet, or use some fad diet to lose large amounts of weight as quickly as possible, you are more likely to regain the weight that you have lost plus some. You do not have to do this.
If however you believe you must do a crash diet, do so only for a short period of time, just to help you to know that you can take off some weight. Make sure it is a very short period of time, like no more than one or two weeks tops.
Also during that time period you will want to make sure that you learn to plan your meals, plan for exercise, and plan to drink water, so you will stay hydrated. Water does help flush fat from your body, just be careful to not consume too much water. Too much of anything is harmful, even if it is just water.
