Weird Dream

Steven West
Had a dream the other night,
It was very strange indeed.
A purple elephant was at my door
Carrying a greenish bead.

The bead had magical powers.
It could change wood into glass.
The elephant gave it to me
Along with some elephant trash.

A donkey next knocked at my door.
He gave me a rake and a kite.
He then ate an apple from my apple tree
Which he said was out of sight.

Next came a fancy ostrich,
Her name was Gertrude McClain.
She brought me an orange flavored cookie
That she got from a store in Spain.

My dream kept getting more bizarre.
Thank goodness it didn't last.
After awhile I got out of my bed
Relieved as I then passed gas.
