#1. Aerophobia- fear of swallowing air- How can someone possibly be afraid of swallowing air? Do people swallow air- or just breath it? And how would someone go about avoiding this fear- stop breathing? Well then you would just be dead. I think being dead is way worse than swallowing air.
#2.Eisoptrophobia- fear of seeing oneself in the mirror- Can you imagine what kind of people have this phobia? Ugly people. Did that sound mean?
#3. Hedonphobia- fear of feeling pleasure- I just don't see how someone can be afraid to feel pleasure. What kind of life is that?
#4. Metrophobia- fear of poetry- I guess some poetry isn't very good, but you don't have to read it. No need to be afraid.
#5. Phronemophobia- fear of thinking- This one made me laugh. I can just see it now, some unemployed man still living with mom and dad using this as his perfect pick-up line. "Yeah I have phronemophobia. That is why I didn't finish school. Can't really work either. That's a fear of thinking you know." Hands in his belt loops, tilting his head back like he's cool. Does that really work?
#6. Logophobia- fear of words- Words? Really?
#7. Parthenophobia- fear of virgins- Now this one has to be made up- has to be.
#8. Syngenesophobia- fear of relatives- I can kind of understand this one. My family is kind of scary sometimes too.
#9. Medorthophobia- fear of an erect penis- This was just funny - really funny.
#10. Geliophobia- fear of laughter.- It is kind of sad to be afraid of laughter. I love to laugh and be laughed at- sometimes.
* Okay, so I know that most phobias must have a deeper fear to them, but I really meant this all in fun. So I apologize if you have any of these phobias.
