Bedbug Spray
If the mere thought of bedbugs gives you the creepy-crawlies you just might want to pick up this piece of weird travel gear. Bedbugs are so tiny they are almost impossible to see, plus the buggers are stealth insects. They hide during the day and come out at night to inflict painless, welt-producing bites.
Rest Easy, the company that produces this bit of weird travel gear, says their bedbug spray is 100% natural and safe to use around children and pets. Made from ingredients such as cinnamon oil and lemongrass oil, the bedbug spray comes in handy travel-size 2 oz. bottles. $6
Personal Travel Bidet
While Americans might think this portable bidet* a piece of truly weird travel gear, it might just save your tush some extra wear and tear when using toilet paper in other countries. This portable travel bidet can be filled with warm tap water and used whenever you want to be extra clean in your nether regions. $40
Sloppy Eating in the Car a Problem?
Food stains on shirts and upholstery be gone! With this specially designed bib, you won't have to worry about your kids getting ketchup stains all over or dropping French fries in places you will discover months from now. Even adult drivers and passengers can use this piece of weird travel gear. The Beltz-Bib attaches to your shoulder harness, has a nice wide pouch that can hold most take-out boxes, and cleans up easily after use. $8
Umbrella Built for Two
If you have ever tried to share an umbrella, you know one thing. Someone is going to get wet. Enter a huge umbrella called a Dualbrella, which is basically two umbrellas merged together but held with just one handle. The umbrella is a huge 6 by 3 feet, so when you're walking down those rainy London streets, don't be surprised if there are stares at your bit of weird travel gear. $20
Flatulence Filter
Know someone who can clear a room with just a whiff of a bodily by-product? Leaving the room might be a good idea, but when you're in an airplane or riding in a car, you can't very well leave. Be kind to others and use this GasBGon product to muffle the sound and odor of gas.
With this addition to your weird travel gear, both you and the people you travel with will breathe easier. The flatulence-extinguishing cushions come in a wide variety of styles and colors, with names like "Silent but Deadly", "Musical Solo", and a football-themed "Tush Down". $25
* To Americans, bidets may seem a piece of truly weird travel gear. However, if you have traveled to Europe much, you might have actually learned to like the extra cleanliness that comes from using a bidet. The full-sized bidet looks like a toilet without a seat and has a water jet that shoots straight up. It is used any time you want to get your nether regions squeaky clean.

Post a CommentGood points Sandra.
I do not travel much but going to pass this on to those family members who do
Great ideas, and the bed bug problem is worth the investment in that product!
Perfectly suited for the travelers. There were a few things I had not thought of either Sandra. The Flatulence Filter was a good one.
