Welcome Bath Basket

I have always wanted make my guests feel welcome when they stay at my home. I have been making Herbal Guests Baskets to present to the women who have stayed with me. So I thought that I would pass along a simple basket that allows a woman guest to feel pampered.
I went to my favorite craft store and picked up my supplies, I purchased a candy mold, clear glycerin, scented dried herbs, I like rosemary, dried flowers and herbs for the herbal tea bath, again I used roses. I picked up a nice basket and a fragrance oil.

I took the clear glycerin and fragrance to make the soap. I put it in a microwave safe dish, placed the bar of glycerin in the dish and added the fragrance. I then set the microwave on Hi for 2 minutes until the glycerin melted. I sprayed the candy mold with Pam, then took the melted glycerin out and poured it into the candy mold to harden. When the soap had hardened, all I had to do was pop it out of the mold and wrap it in cellophane and tie a decorative bow around the bar. I usually make around three small bars to place in my welcome basket

I like to include a Herbal Bath Tea to my Welcome Basket. This is really easy to make, I use a mixing bowl and I add 4 tablespoons of lavender, 4 tablespoons of rose petals, 4 tablespoons of passion flower and mix them together. Then I put all of them into a muslin bag and seal the top of the bag with a ribbon. I include a typed note to my guest that instructs her to place the bag in her hot bath water and let the herbs soothe her.

I usually include my Gift Basket a white hand towel and bath towel rolled up as a back ground, I put in the three bars of hand made soap, the herbal bath muslin bag and I include a candle for her to enjoy her bath.

Little things make your guests feel welcomed and it doesn't cost a lot to present this small welcome basket to your guest.
