Weleda Everon Lip Balm: A Great Moisturizer

The only lip balms that I have used were Vaseline, Chapstick, Lip Smackers and others of that kind. They are all pretty good, but the thing about them is that they all do the same job and the biggest, and the only difference between them is their scent. But, this Everon Lip Balm is clearly different than all the other ones that I have used before.

The most distinguishing part of this lip balm, of course, is its staying power. When I used other lip balms, I had to reapply them over and over again throughout the day because they are gone like an hour after I put them on. But with this one, I can go all day with just one application in the morning.

It does not stay on extreme activities such as eating or brushing the teeth and things, but I do not have to reapply this after eating because it is very moisturizing and that property just lasts. What I mean is that even if you do not reapply it right after it disappears, the lips stay moisturized and it is not necessary to reapply it. This was exactly what I needed because I always carry the lip balms around and seem to lose it almost everyday. But, in my experience, I did not have to reapply it during the day. I apply this twice a day- when I go out in the morning and when I go to sleep in the night.

But, there are still some serious problems with this lip balm. First of all, the packaging is one of the worst out there. As you can see from the picture that I included, the packaging is simply not pretty and the product does not stay that well in the packaging. I was so disappointed when I first used this because the whole balm just got stuck to the top and I thought I had to throw it away. Another thing that I do not like is that this is seriously greasy. You can feel this for the longest time. As I said before, it has a great staying power, so the greasiness just stays. And the last thing is that it is very soft. So, a lot of the product comes out with each use. But, this can be justified because you do not have to use as much as other lip balms. I have been using mine for a little over two months, and I have used about 2/3 of the product. And I have to mention the scent because it is not the most pleasant. I do not have a problem with the scent and I cannot quite explain how it smells but it is not the best.

But, this is simply one of the most moisturizing lip balms out there. I definitely recommend this to anyone who has chapped lips because the chapped lips are soothed and gone the minute after you put this one. I think that is amazing.
