Wentworth Miller on Fox

Prison Break Gives a Whole New Meaning to "Miller Time"

Theresa Wiza
Does anybody else see the irony of Wentworth Miller being on the Fox network? Yes, I know - I'm old enough to be his mother and my own daughter-in-law writes in her myspace blog that if her husband - my son - ever leaves her, she will marry Wentworth Miller (stand in line, Michelle).

Voted one of People Magazine's 100 Most Beautiful People in the world in 2007, this beautiful man is as intelligent as is Michael Scofield, the character he plays on my favorite television program, Prison Break. Miller graduated from Princeton University with a degree in English. What a winning combination: he's beautiful, intelligent, and educated.

Born on June 2, 1972, Mr. Miller is a mere 21 years my junior. I know. I should be ashamed of myself, and yet, I can't help it - the man is a god. I can see Michaelangeo painting him or carving him out of stone or marble or chocolate. Yes, Wentworth Miller in chocolate. Delicious.

According to the Internet Movie Data Base (imdb.com), Wentworth Miller's heritage is a mixture of African-American, Somalian, Jamaican, British, German, Cherokee, French, Syrian, and Lebanese. What a fascinating combination - it was like God came up with a recipe using ingredients that resulted in a mouth-watering dessert that people eat with their eyes - oh, and don't forget the chocolate.

What is it about him that causes grown women to fall in love with Mondays? I used to hate Mondays. Now I look forward to them. I put everything on hold, including phone calls, meals, tornado warnings, everything. My theory is that if you love me, you should know I don't answer my phone during Prison Break (even though I tape it).

Adding a little Miller time to my week spices things up a little. "Yes," I tell the people interviewing me as their potential child care provider, "my favorite program is about a man who escapes from prison. Let me prepare your child for the future."

I think it's his eyes that are captivating. No - wait - it's his body. On the other hand, maybe it's his voice or the way he carries himself when he walks, or the way he moves. The more I think about it, though, I think the reason Wentworth Miller has so captivated me, I mean everybody, is because of the way he kissed Dr. Sara Tancredi (played by Sarah Wayne Callies) - I hate her.

OK, I get it. I'm embarrassing the you-know-what out of my children and grandchildren, and probably my parents too. But I have only one thing to say to all of them and to all of you. I don't care.
