Were the Conspiracy Theorists Right?

Peter R
For the past 30 years political critics who were deemed conspiracy theorists have been dismissed as kooks. However, the core argument of the likes of Jordan Maxwell, Anthony J. Hilder, G. Edward Griffin and now Alex Jones and David Icke, which has always centered around the idea that our government is and always has been owned by a group of global elite bankers who wish to destroy our national sovereignty and remove our inalienable rights in order to rule the world and treat us as mere receptacles for the New World Order, seems to be coming to fruition. With Barack Obama and world leaders talking openly about a New World Order, using that term in speeches, and the word "Illuminati" being used in the mainstream media, it seems that the conspiracy theories are becoming conspiracy realities. As our borders evaporate, as the European Union is openly referred to by governments and mainstream media around the world and as Texas citizens watch in disbelief as a state tax funded highway is being built straight from Mexico all the way to Canada in front of their eyes, it is harder and harder to deny the warnings of the conspiracy theorists who dared to look behind the curtain to do their own research and think critically. Even in popular culture, one can go to Macy's and see t-shirts marketed as "Goth style" mentioning the Illuminati and bohemian grove (a northern California retreat where government and business elites allegedly worship an owl statue while sacrificing a baby in effigy).

Big league conspirators will say it goes back to a group called the Illuminati which began in the 1700's and was composed of a group of people who found themselves to be intellectually superior and that they should control the world by controlling world currency. They interbred, wanting to keep their knowledge and wealth within their group, unknowingly producing future generations of Illuminati who became genetically flawed sociopaths due to the affects of inbreeding. The Illuminati is no conspiracy theory considering that George Washington himself historically was quoted as speaking positively of them. However, mainline history claims the Illuminati were disbanded in the late 1800s.

Regardless of what the shadow group, or "powers to be" that are making our government not follow the will of the people are called, the U.S. government's own actions have deservedly fueled the legitimacy of the conspirators. Just look at scholarly history and government manipulation in wars for corporate and political profit. As C.S. Lewis once said, "war is the health of the state," and as Herman Goering said in the Nuremberg trials, "the common people don't want war, that is understood, but they can be brought to the bidding of the government if you make them feel like they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists as unpatriotic and exposing the country to danger." In a neoconservative document known as the Project For A New American Century, which was chronicled in the PBS documentary Selling The War, the decision to invade and dominate the Middle East to establish an unchallenged empire was written in the 1990's and pitched unsuccessfully to Bill Clinton many times. With Dick Cheney's written contributions to the document in the year 2000 saying that this would take a long time without a new Pearl Harbor, it's no wonder that groups like 911 Truth exist, believing that the 911 Twin Tower implosion was an inside job orchestrated by the U.S. Government.

Ever since 911, Fox News talking heads have bleated the words "we live in a post 911 world" where apparently constitutional rights, civil rights, and human rights are optional, even as the majority of homeland security aims its anti-terrorist efforts at American protestors and Americans trying to board planes. After President George Bush claimed our freedoms were attacked, our freedoms were taken away by Bush and a cow towing congress including habeas corpus and privacy rights as the Pentagon officially claims that Al Qaeda is stronger and more capable of attacking the U.S. because of our military intervention in Iraq.

As America remains the highest producing nation in the world, our supposed messiah and savior Barack Obama gushes about Americans having their pensions and jobs stripped away while helping to lobby to pass a 700 billion dollar tax payer funded bailout bill to allow banks to remain rich, while they used the public money to hand hundreds of millions of dollars in bonuses to their executives as businesses that actually produce tangible goods are going bankrupt. While he is called the savior, his vice presidential candidate says their will be a generated international crisis. With the commonly used method of creating order out of chaos, it's hard not to wonder if these catastrophes will be generated so people will beg the very people who caused it to save them, which will make it easy for the government to say in order to prevent this from happening again we need a world government. Then, they will be able to impose their own self serving tyrannical laws and attempt to live out their imperialist fantasies.

According to an Associated Press article, the United States is in danger of losing its AAA rating. A nation that foreigners once fled to escape governments wanting to control them is now a country where these same foreigners are fleeing saying they've seen this before. As rumors of mandatory public service, civil homeland security drafts and an end to the Iraq war only to redistribute the war to Afghanistan, Pakistan, and possibly Iran, the only possible result is a destruction of the middle class and the United States becoming a third world nation. Even the Army Times has reported that military brigades will be released in case they are needed to stop civil unrest and that they "hope they don't have to shoot Americans". If the U.S. Army fighting the American people is not high treason, I don't know what is.

All of these things have been predicted by the likes of Jones, Icke, Hilder and Maxwell many years ago. The amazing thing is that the masses are going along with it with no curiosity of history; no understand of what's going on in terms of historical precedence, and only a concern for their electronic gadgets and fluff news and culture. Who can blame them. As comedian George Carlin once said, "power does what it wants." Apathy is understandable as it seems way outside anyone's control. The New World Order is far too big an apple to swallow and most will find it easier to go along with America's destruction than fight to stop it. However, there are few excuses left. Anyone can go to Google and find the term New World Order mentioned over 50,000 times in mainstream media.

As David Icke once said, there will come a time when the New World Order's agenda will have to come to the public conscious, and it has. Contrary to popular belief, we don't have to accept it since we outnumber the government by 300 million; we are the government legally. Maybe we don't want the hassle of being free, but will we want the hassle of having a small group of people in a foreign country deciding what your rights are, when they see you only as a commodity?

I remember watching a Siegfried and Roy Show in Las Vegas where an elephant was made to appear instantly in front of a woman picked out of the audience. She didn't even flinch. Perhaps that's what's happening with the general populous - the New World Order and its magnitude is beyond the average person's mental comprehension; their brain shuts it off because they can't handle the truth. However, somewhere in our DNA, the instincts of the founding fathers who said "Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death" and the pioneers who thought "Go West Young Man" and ventured into the wilderness to lay the groundwork for what we have today must still be there.

To those who say that there's nothing wrong with a one world government, look at history. It was Adolph Hitler's goal; he popularized the phrase New World Order. With the diversity of cultures and religions in the world, having a few people trying to rule everyone to create a utopia can only result in chaos and endless war. It is a pure fantasy. Every time someone tried to achieve such power it ended in bloodshed. There is still time for a peaceful revolution - all it takes is an awakening of the general public and open talk of a refusal to participate. All the government's money and military is useless without our acquiescence. If we all stopped working and shopping for three days it would all come to a halt. Or if we stopped paying taxes they would be forced to change. For those who are afraid of the consequences, be more afraid of letting it get to the point where we have a level of tyranny where tens of millions of Americans who aren't afraid decide to revolt violently and the military responds creating a civil war.

Much like a herd of sheep, we can only get slaughtered if we walk voluntarily into the slaughterhouse. Only a small percentage of the populus fought the revolutionary war, so if even a small significant percentage of citizens can wake up and brave the harsh truth that our government is no longer our government, but a government for the bankers by the bankers, the noise created from an awakening to the truth would scare the government into going back to being the public servants that they're paid to be. However, as long as we choose to feel we are powerless, we could become mere puppets for a global elite. No matter how much you love Barack Obama as an individual, someone else is pulling his strings, and no matter who becomes a world leader, the famous saying is probably true: power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
