We're Through

Robin Jessie-Green
How can I put this delicately

One of us should be ashamed

You cheated on me

But I'm the one to blame?

You act as if nothing is wrong

And things can go on just the same

How can they when the trust is gone?

When I needed you, you were off with your mistress

So, I'm going to go ahead and confess

That I too have to get something off my chest

Baby it's not me, it's you

Well, at least that's what my lover says to me about you

after we do what we do

The way I handle him, is my proof

Yup, I cheated on you too

The difference is I wasn't going to put it off on you

I wanted some comfort and to experience something new

I was worked over properly

You would have never known

Someone else was loving me

And in my heart a strong fondness for him has grown

And the only reason why you do

is because I've found your replacement

You and I are through.
