Westboro Baptist Church Group Plans Picket Attack Against Elizabeth Edwards' Funeral

Calls Edwards "Disobedient"

Lori Lane
As a Kansas Westboro Baptist Church group plans a picket attack at Elizabeth Edwards' Edenton Street United Methodist Church funeral on Saturday questions flood Raleigh as to why. Can't find a Kansas funeral worth haggling?

Westboro Baptist Church group is known for their past funeral pickets using freedom of speech to spread hate remarks against gays or those they consider "disobedient" to God's word and warnings. The group's character assassination attempt against Elizabeth Edwards describing her as a "disobedient" person who ignored God's past warning in the death of her son Wade does not define accuracy.

The group is known for their homophobia so it shouldn't be a surprise to run into their connection God Hates Fa*s website Rated-R. The group tends not to be picky about who they picket against. Is the Edenton Street United Methodist Church nervous of the radical hate group?

When contacting the Edenton Street United Methodist Church they confirm a calm outlook for Elizabeth Edwards' funeral service. The church holds much faith in the Raleigh Police Department and how they handle Saturday. Parking will be an entirely different situation for 228 W. Edenton Street in downtown Raleigh in the early afternoon. State parking lots can be found a couple of blocks from Edenton Street United Methodist Church.

Elizabeth Edwards lost her six-year cancer battle. She was diagnosed in 2004 with breast cancer. Once her treatment deemed useless she discontinued which led to her death. Elizabeth Edwards, estranged wife of U.S. Senator and presidential candidate John Edwards, leaves behind three beautiful children. Children who could do without a picket at their mother's funeral.

To bring more logs to the picket roast it is rumored that Rielle Hunter, John Edwards' perky mistress and mother of his love child, may consider going to Elizabeth Edwards' funeral. Ouch - hoping that's a Radar Online false exclusive.

Obviously expect at least one sign written of Rielle since she broke at least one commandment involving Elizabeth Edwards. But it is not clear exactly which side would be holding the "Rielle will burn in hell" poster. Truth be told, since Radar Online does not deem a crystal ball perhaps we will go with a possibilitiy at half-mass (50/50) on the chances Rielle Hunter attends Elizabeth Edwards' funeral.

Elizabeth Edwards' funeral begins at 1 p.m. followed by a private Oakwood Cemetery burial. For more and directions visit Elizabeth Edwards Remembered. The Westboro Baptist Church group picket ends when Elizabeth Edwards' funeral begins. Hopefully, much sooner than that.

If those people are so wildly against homosexuality, why don't they all pack up and move to Iran, where the government has what they seem to think is the "correct" attitude about the issue?

nothing is beatiful anymore, and a lady to disagree and suffer hate;may have been pushed aside,by greed.though my opinion is too good to be appreciated,i hope there isn't a lot of need to bring up the troubles of human natures and questions that day-as 4,plain respect to others.amnnnnnnnn

Picketing funerals is the lowest form of un-Christian like behavior. God would NEVER want that!

Good thing these Westboro nutcases have the Constitution to protect them. It is ironic, how much their extreme brand of intolerance isn't tolerated...
