When is Westfest?

Westfest is on Labor Day weekend, September 4th, 5th, and 6th of 2009, and begins at 5:30pm on Friday evening. The Miss Westfest pageant will be held at 7:00pm on the fairgrounds, so don't miss this highly anticipated event. The activities and dances will run until 12:30am, so you will certainly get an evening full of live entertainment. On Saturday, September 5th, the activities will begin at 10:00 am and conclude around midnight. What an enjoyable way to spend the Labor Day weekend!

What are the best events at Westfest?

On Saturday morning at 8:00am, you can participate in the Labor Day weekend 5000-meter Fun Run. In addition, there will be some Westfest parade events in downtown West, Texas beginning at 10:00am. On Sunday morning at 10:15am, polka mass is offered for those who would like to experience a rewarding spiritual activity. Certainly, you can experience the Czech polka dances both Friday and Saturday nights, and enjoy the festive costumes and cultural food selections. During this exciting Labor Day weekend at Westfest, there will be baking contests, arts & crafts, children's activities, tractor pulls, food booths, and horseshoes.

What is the price to attend Westfest?

This fun-filled Czechoslovakian festival held on Labor Day weekend is affordable for the whole family. If you would like to attend the Friday preview party, the admission is $12.00 per adult. Children ages 0-12 are free that evening when an adult accompanies them. On Saturday and Sunday, the admission for adults is $8.00 and for children, military, and seniors, the cost is $4.00. This admission price includes admission to all of the dances, entertainment, and exhibits on that day.

How do I get to Westfest?

Fortunately, this Labor Day event is not difficult to find. Westfest is only fifteen miles north of Waco, Texas, and about seventy-five miles south of Dallas, Texas. If you take Exit 351 off of I-35 and follow the signs to the Westfest festival and parade in West, Texas, then you will have taken the shortest route.
