Wet N Wild MegaPlump Mascara - Beauty Review

Lisa Riggs
I definitely love makeup. From the age of fourteen, I have always enjoyed extending my lashes, coloring my cheeks and defining my eyes. In my single years I could happily afford splurging on expensive cosmetics to enhance my looks and polish my appearance. Paring down to a one income family with two children has created the necessity to seek out budget cosmetics. One of my favorite inexpensive makeup items is Wet n Wild MegaPlump Mascara.

I love that this eye cosmetic costs me only $2.99 for a point thirty ounce container. Considering the fact that many mascaras of the same size can cost an upwards of ten and twenty dollars, this is definitely a very competitive price. This brand is readily available at most local drugstores, grocery stores and discount department stores that feature a beauty aisle. Not needing to head off to the mall to replace an essential cosmetic is surely a bonus to this product as well. The outer packaging of this item is simple, with a cellophane wrapping over a cardboard base. Savvy consumers know that much of the price of cosmetics is due to fancy packaging and elaborate marketing promotion. This product has neither and that savings is definitely passed onto the consumer.

This product is very easy to apply and store for future use. The screw off cap contains the thick wand that easily soaks up eye product to apply to the lashes. The handle is very user friendly and fits nicely into the palm. After application, the top screws evenly into the base that holds the eye makeup. It fits neatly into a makeup bag and remains closed until the time for the next usage.

This mascara is washable, which means that removal at the end of the night is easily achieved with a bit of gentle soap and water or makeup remover cloths. This product has been ophthalmologist tested and deemed safe for eye health with normal use and care.

The packaging on the back of the product promises that this discount cosmetic will add lushness to skimpy lashes. It offers a chance to regain the former appearance that age has taken away. Over the years, my lashes have certainly become noticeably thinner and shorter. They break off far easier and just don't look as they did in my younger years. This product definitely adds some fullness and length, just as advertised. Does it recapture the look I had in my twenties? Definitely not. But it certainly makes my eyes look a little more defined and a little more youthful than they do prior to use. For those reasons, I definitely give this cosmetic a positive beauty review. I don't believe that any one product can turn back the hands of time, but this discount mascara absolutely lives up to it's claims and is well worth it's low price.
