Wet 'n' Wild Ultimate Sheer Tinted Moisturizer in 181 Nude

Layla A.
While I am typically a prestige-brand makeup user, I was give the Wet 'n' Wild Ultimate Sheer Tinted Moisturizer and decided to give it a shot. For drugstore, it's not bad. For Wet 'n' Wild, it is one of the better products I have tried.

COLOR

I got this in 181 Nude and while it was slightly too dark at first, with a little blending, it matched me perfectly. It looks just like a liquid foundation- describing the color is pointless since it is a foundation product.

FORMULA

As far as staying power is concerned, this is not the greatest. I noticed flaking at about four hours, but nothing too major or bad. It moisturizes very well and has an SPF of 15 (a definite plus). It sheers out very nicely, and is way thinner than the BeneFit tinted moisturizer I reviewed. Although, since it is supposed to be sheer, I think this is a good thing. Coverage is also not the greatest, but once again, it is meant to be sheer! Overall, besides the fading and flaking at about four hours, it is a great formula. Problems with fading can also be prevented if set with a powder or a bit of foundation over it. Once again, it is just a moisturizer.

FUNCTIONALITY

This has a great bottle and is functional for those who like light coverage in the summer. It makes a great base for the rest of the makeup and comes in a good variety of other shades (there was a lighter one that would have been slightly better, but I thought this would work). I find it portable, moisturizing, and with a fair amount of coverage. I consider this product to be functional.

PACKAGING

As I said before, I think that has a great bottle that is very secure and portable. It is one ounce, so you can take it anywhere if you need to do touch-ups or if your face is feeling dry.

PRICE

This retails at most drug stores for around $2.99.

FINAL OPINIONS

For a drug store product, I really like this tinted moisturizer, probably more than my BeneFit one. I do recommend it especially for those who aren't old enough to wear a full coverage foundation. It is affordable, moisturizing, and comes in a variety of shades- all things the BeneFit one does not have.
