Whale Wars, Season 3, Episode 10 Sees the Japanese and Sea Shepherds Play "Follow the Stern"
The Bob Barker was "hockey checked" in last week's show by the Yushin Maru No. 3 when it tried to get out of being surrounded by four Japanese whaling ships. This action damaged the starboard side to the tune of a 3 foot gash. Water is pouring in the boat though the damage is above the water line. Nonetheless, the Sea Shepherds find themselves on the stern of the Nisshin Maru to the delight of Captain Watson and his followers, because they have cost the whalers processing money and funds for security measures. The glee doesn't last too long, for the Shonan Maru No. 2 is now on the stern of the Bob Barker on Season 3, Episode 10 of Whale Wars. It uses water cannons on the Sea Shepherds' boat. The boat's crew reacts by throwing "stink bombs" of butyric acid at the Japanese ship, which reacts by staying farther behind.
Captain Watson goes to the media and tells the Sea Shepherds' account of what the Yushin Maru No. 3 did to the Bob Barker. But the pro-Japanese ICR blames the Sea Shepherds. Meanwhile, Matt attempts to repair the Bob Barker's gash while it pursues the Nisshin Maru by hanging dangerously from the side by a rope. It's determined that only a temporary fix rather than a weld can be done at this time.
Captain Bethune Accidentally Starts a Fire on the Steve Irwin on Whale Wars, Season 3, Episode 10
The Steve Irwin is some 200 miles away, and plotting a course to hook up with the Bob Barker. At the crew meeting, it's projected that they will meet the Japanese whaling fleet in less than half a day, so the many new deckhands are given some training on Whale Wars, Season 3, Episode 10. Captain Bethune is bored on the ship, and thinks the Steve Irwin crew a bit square for his tastes. He and Larry go into the workshop and show off his oxygen lance, which can, via scuba diving, destroy a ship's propeller. But while further crafting his weapon, the sparks fly aplenty resulting in an accidental fire starting but quickly being put out.
When the two Sea Shepherd boats reunite near the Japanese processing ship, Captain Watson becomes Admiral Watson, commanding two ships and expecting the Japanese to be stopped of their "research" once and for all this season by hounding the much larger Nisshin Maru. The Bob Barker will try to play "bodyguard", staving off the other Japanese whalers, while the Steve Irwin stays on the factory ship's slipway and tries out its old fashioned water cannon on the boat, hoping to best the six modern water cannons of the Nisshin Maru. Four days have gone by without any whale processing, and Captain Watson comments that $70-$80 million could be potentially lost because of the Sea Shepherds' efforts this season. As Whale Wars, Season 3, Episode 10 ends, the Steve Irwin's SoundCommander is used to blare out the Sea Shepherds' anti-whaling messages and annoying sounds to the factory ship.

OK, Im against whaling. But are these f-ing hippies for real?? They f-up everything they try. These eco do gooders have no mechanical or common sense. Watching the oriental teacher destroy an outboard prop & the captain of the Barker make stupid decisions is a CARTOON. The whales are gonna be sushi with these bafoons "protecting" them. Bob Barker wasted his millions!!
