What is the American Flag?
A display of pride colored in red, blue, and white
With stars and stripes, waving high throughout the fight
A symbol of freedom flying above each American's head
Reminding us all of God's grace that He shed
A sign of patriotism and a reminder of lives lost
Of those fighting for our rights no matter the cost
An emblem of liberty and a country's independence
Provided by our men and women manning the defenses
A standard by which all Americans should live
One we would not have without those willing to give
An image of opportunity and the American dream
For those living in a country ranked supreme
A representation of a country's past, present, and future story
Each day, look upward and salute America's Old Glory!
