When there is a Baile in the Mexican Community the news is carried out faster than www.cnn.com. A good and real Baile consists of a real, live band that plays all the modern Mexican music. A Baile is usually celebrated for birthday parties, but a Baile is really done for weddings.
If you are Mexican, and you did not contract a Mexican band to play at your wedding it means that there was not enough money to hire a real playing live band. And, I really understand people that can't hire a real band to play for their weddings especially with these hard economic times these days, and I'm one of those persons who can't afford a real Mexican band if I got married next month. A Baile takes lots of months of organizing and planing, but the results are stunning to see all your friends and family attend your Baile. To throw a real fancy Baile you have to rent out a place to fit enough people in there, and if you are having it at your house there is a permit required by law, to avoid noise level complaints from neighbors. Many Mexicans with a big budget for their Baile like to spend a lot of money on the Mexican band that is playing for that night. There has been instances where Mexicans spend fifteen thousand dollars on a good Mexican band. But, my budget if I ever got married would be way below that because spending too much money on a band is very terrifying for my pocket change. The music played at a real Baile is different compared to where the family is from or who is throwing the Baile. Country people in Texas usually contract a Norteno Music band, and city people in Texas usually contract a Cumbia Music band.
I would encourage my readers out there to one day have a Mexican Baile, because the experience will last forever.
