The History of Bella Sara Game
Bella Sara was created by Gitte Odder Braendgaard, a Denmark social worker who wanted a prettier, gentler game for her daughter. Her daughter, Sara, had no interest in competition oriented games that were marketed more towards boys. Sara did love horses and even owned one named Bella. Braendgaard designed Bella Sara trading cards with pastel colors, imaginative art, and the majestic beauty of horses. Gitte Odder Braendgaard also wanted young girls to learn from the game, with positive thoughts and girl-power messages.
The game of Bella Sara was created in 2005, and at the time only sold in Scandinavia. In 2006, a US based game-publishing company took over Bella Sara and introduced it to the rest of the world. Bella Sara trading cards are now available in US stores such as Target, Toys 'R' Us, Walmart and more. Bella Sara is called the largest and fastest growing card-trading game ever created.
