Did you know there are some health benefits to having an orgasm? Sexual stimulation with a partner or by yourself can do so much for your well being. Here is where the old saying "if it feels good do it" applies. In this article I discuss the many benefits of having an orgasm.

Relieves tension

If your feeling stressed out from overwork or as a result of a stressful day having an orgasm can really take the edge off. There is increased blood flow from sexual stimulation which comes to a relaxing climax with an orgasm. The tension in your body relaxes you and in pent up nerves in your nervous system. The end result is a calming affect and a relaxing of your whole body and its muscles. So when you are stressed out having an orgasm can relieve you of all the stress that has built up that day.

Helps you sleep better

Orgasms release endorphins which is a natural tranquilizer. These endorphins when released calms you and helps you to relax. Can't sleep? Maybe you should wake up your partner. Its amazing how relaxed you can feel after sex. In short order you should be relaxed enough to fall off to sleep.

Calms cravings for junk food

Sexual stimulation produces phenetylamine which is a natural amphetamine which controls your appetite. So before you pig out on that ice cream in front of the TV glance at your partner. You don't need those potato chips you just need a good time in the bedroom. A good orgasm will make you forget all about that piece of chocolate cake in the kitchen.

Orgasms burn calories

On average you can burn 1000 calories having an orgasm. Very few activities can burn that many calories in such a short time and be as enjoyable. All your muscles get exercise in sex its no wonder it burns so many calories. Plus some people can tend getting a little sweaty which is sign of good successful workout.

Helps with Pain

Endorphins that are released during sex can raise your tolerance to pain by as much as 70%. Of course this varies by person. Endorphins is the bodies natural morphine which helps to relieve pain. If you are in pain and are in the hospital you could relieve some of your pain yourself through sexual stimulation. Just have the nurse pull the curtain and tell her you want to sleep a few.
