What Are the Best Auto Insurance Providers for Teens

Malina Debrie

What are two of the best auto insurance providers for teens? Teens are a unique breed. Their lives are full of excitement, challenges and adventure. They think tragedy is something that occurs to someone else. To your teen, life is forever and there are no limits. This is the reason some of our teenagers never live to see their golden years. It's a fact most teenagers live dangerously. Especially when driving. They feel they are immortal and death is something that happens to others; It will never happen to them. Some feel death is inevitable and have the 'so what' attitude. For this reason and others, auto insurance is considerably higher for teenager drivers. The non-experience and issues when our teens begin driving has insurers in a frenzy. So do your research. Take time and check out all insurance carriers. When preparing to purchase auto insurance for teenagers, there are some providers whose rates are far better than others.

Best auto Insurance Providers for Teens: Pioneer Insurance Company (www.pioneerinsurance.com)

Pioneers concept in insurance is that insurance is a personal business. They feel with the amount of competition, everyone is volleying to get your business. Pioneer guarantees their quotes are not 'generic.' They work with each client individually. If you switch to them, Pioneer is willing to give you a discount. Bargaining is the name of the game. When considering your quote, Pioneer takes into consideration your :

1). Location - If you live in the city your rates will generally be higher than those living in suburbs. Traffic in the city is far more congested and more prone to accidents.

2). School Activities and Grades - When your teen has good grades and is involves in school activities, carriers view this as being responsible. Their rates will be lower when your teen is viewed as a responsible individual.

3). Parental Involvement - When parents involvement is consistent, carriers have favorable views on teens and their parents. Rates are determined based on parents involvement.

4). Make, Model and Year of your Car - The newer the car, the lower the rates. Generally, insurance rates are lower on a new car the first two years.

Malina, I know we are a unique situation but because of military service, we are able to use USAA insurance and they have been wonderful with the girls - even when they were teens! cheers :)

Yes Abby, when they were teens and now, while my still home, they were and he is on my policy. Florida law requires that anyone living in the home is named as a driver on your policy. It's strange, but Florida is one of the strangest states in the nation. Whenever applying for insurance or even discussing insurance with carriers in the state, they want the name of any drivers in the household. I feel strange if I do not disclose all drivers, but then, a few years back, I began to feel like some of these things required in the state were simply none of their business. And I began to rebel. The laws in this state make you want to leave and go elsewhere.

I never had to worry about this, probably why I never heard of either of them. I would assume you put your teen on your insurance.
