I have found the best HDTV's that have the most to offer for the best price around. There are many qualities that make these TV's the best bargain HDTV models and soon you will know what one to buy.

Vizio 42" LCD HDTV

The Vizio 42" offers the biggest screen size for the least amount of money, costing a meager $898.00 this TV is the best when it comes to size vs. cost. With a built in ATSC digital/NTSC analog tuner you can enjoy both analog and digital broadcasts including HDTV programming. Delivers 1366 x 768 resolution with more than one million pixels for excellent picture quality at 720p.

The connections on the Vizio also make it standout as a best buy bargain HDTV. It offers two HDMI ports, two component video connections, S-Video connections, composite video connections, and a VGA port so if you wanted you could use this monster screen as you computer monitor. I love the addition of the VGA port although S-Video would also do the trick for connection a PC.

The Vizio measurements are 40.5"W x 27.3" H x 3.9"D which means you can put this TV almost anywhere since it is so thin. All of these factors make the Vizio is one of the best bargain HDTV's.

Akai 42" Plasma HDTV

The Akai is another big TV with a small price, costing only $798.00; it's actually cheaper than the Vizio and it has a lot to offer as well. The Akai 42" has a deep rich colorful screen that offers 10,000:1 contrast ratio which ensures the colors will be vivid and sharp. I like the Akai because it offers plenty of connection ports so you can use your TV with multiple devices. Delivers 1024 x 768 resolution with over a million pixels for an excellent picture at 720p.

It has 2 HDMI inputs, VGA, composite video, two component video, and S-Video connections. HDMI are important when it comes to HDTV it is the best of the best when it comes to connecting devices and produces a great quality of image. Having 2 HDMI connections is a huge plus.

The Akai measures 40.9L x 29.8W x 11.3H but weighs 101 pounds! I don't know where the TV absorbs all that extra weight but this thing is a beast. The price of the Akai is the best around for a 42" TV, for the price you wouldn't expect as many connection ports but the Akai offers ample ports for you.

Polaroid 40" LCD HDTV

I like the Polaroid 40" LCD HDTV because although its 2 inches smaller than most of the other bargain HDTV's it has the best picture quality and is widescreen. The screen delivers a crisp, clean, sharp image with deep dark rich color. It comes with more than enough ports, 2 HDMI, 1 VGA, 2 Component Video, 1 Composite Video, and of course S-Video. The remote with this TV is also the best looking and most functional.

The Polaroid measures in at 31.1" H x 38.9" W x 9.4" D making it one of the smallest and TV's, I like that it also only weighs 66 pounds so you can easily move this TV around by yourself if you need to. The Polaroid 40" is only $874.00 which is a bargain for such a quality HDTV.

Sanyo 42" LCD HDTV

Here is another 720p HDTV that is under $1000, the Sanyo 42" is a bargain costing you a mere $948.00 and you get all you could ask for in an HDTV. 1366 x 768 resolution with over a million pixels for superb picture quality, 1500:1 contrast ratio, all the ports you could ask for including 2 HDMI, VGA, S-Video, Composite video and component video.

The TV measures 41.3"W x 29.7"H x 10.2"D and weighs 55 pounds so it's pretty light weight and easy to move. The TV produces a quality picture on its widescreen surface, with deep rich colors and nice bright images. I was impressed with the quality of this HDTV, and I like that it doesn't weigh too much

    r u deaf ? do you use captioning on HDTV? just seeing u said u like those two HDTV best .. do they have captionings on all channels or HDTV channels?? just asking .. im looking around on HDTV finding out the best brand that provides or includes captionings.. I read that HDMI interferes captionings.. let me know abt HDTV .. ill check back for ur comments.. thanks
