Just as with designer handbags for women, when purchasing designer collars for dogs the buyer is paying for the designer name as well as the quality materials and craftsmanship that goes along with it. Designer Collars for Dogs - iLove Dogs

You might think the designer collars for dogs described above were a little bit expensive. But I have saved the most incredible and outrageous collars for last.

The La Collection de Bijoux collection of fine designer collars for dogs is presented by i Love Dogs. No rhinestones, crystals or gold plated metal for this collection. These collars are made of platinum, 18K white gold and real diamonds.

There are six designer collars in this collection. The most costly collar is the Amour, Amour collar. It is crafted of authentic crocodile leather and platinum hardware. The 52 carats of diamonds, including a 7 carat diamond centerpiece, are set in 18K white gold. The cost of this designer collar is $3,200,000. This is no typo; this collar really costs over 3 million dollars!

Another designer collar in this collection is the Chéri collar. This collar is made of ostrich leather and platinum hardware with 25 carats of diamonds, including a 2.7 carat heart shaped diamond centerpiece set in 18K white gold. The retail price is $498,000. Almost half a million dollars!

Visit the i Love Dogs website at http://ilovedogsdiamonds.com/collection/collection.html to view the entire collection.

Designer Collars for Dogs - Beware of Fakes

Just like designer handbags, when purchasing designer collars for dogs the buyer should beware of inadvertently purchasing fake or replica designer collars.

I probably wouldn't splurge on a designer dog collar, but for those who can afford it this is great information!

Unbelieveable! And it's great how you suggest various designers and describe their products. I just sent a link to your article to two women who will love reading it. They both have small dogs and dress them to the hilt. They won't be able to afford these designer brands; in fact, one of them makes her dog's clothes and accessories. But they'll have a ball reading this!

Wow, unbelieveable! It's great how you include the various designers and describe their products, too. I'm going to send the link to this article to two women who will absolutely love it, because they both have small dogs and both dress them up to kill. No way can they afford buying the brands you suggest; in fact, on of them makes her dog's clothes, but they'll have a ball reading this.

This is a fun idea to think about, but I know I would never actually spend money on something like this!

  • Jimmy Collins4/23/2010

I think my pups would love this article!!

Some people treat their dogs like royalty, carrying them everywhere, wheeling them around in srtollers. I think they need locking up personally...
