It is so much easier to jet into a fast food place for lunch and then either go and relax somewhere or run more errands and get some more things accomplished on your lunch break than to eat up all of your time waiting in line with all of the rest of the lunch patrons at the popular sit down restaurants. The menu's at fast food places are usually very standard and easy to remember so that also saves time on decision making; although if you require every order special, you will get a few dirty looks thrown your way.
The debate is always on that this fast service and the food itself is not good for you because you are always in such a hurry when you frequent these places. But, I don't think the idea of it being your only place that you eat is a great concept and if you are one of the people who are always in this much of a hurry then you have more problems then just whether you can't have a decent meal in a calm and relaxed manner. If it is by choice; then fine, I am all about choosing. But if you don't think you have enough time to ever choose a better dining experience; you should probably do some time management adjustments in your daily lifestyle actions.
I think after you have a favorite fast food spot; you tend to crave the food because you know it is one thing in this life that you can usually get pretty easily in a quick and direct manner. Although, you usually have to check after you have gotten your food from the drive through because sometimes ordering a hamburger somehow translates into a chicken salad sandwich through the loudspeaker. We all have our horror stories in that lot.
There are times I am so happy that my favorite spot is open late or there is no line at the drive through because I want to get in and get out and get fed quickly; that is my only goal. And of course there are times when fast food will just not do; I want some quality service and some special food and drinks at my favorite sit down and stay awhile restaurants.
