What to Do with Your Broken Sex Toys

Don't Throw the Toys Away, They Have Other Uses

Kelly Spies
So one day you find yourself home alone, feeling a little horny and decide to play with your favorite sex toy. You pull your secret stash of hidden toys from under the bed or out of the closet and get ready to go. You're all ready to achieve the big "O" and suddenly find that your vibrator isn't working. You check the batteries and they seem fine but you put news ones in it anyway but it still won't work. What do you do with it now? Don't throw it away; instead try one of these tips.

Recycle those bad boys

Living green has become a huge trend in the adult industry and now you can help save the planet by recycling used and broken sex toys. Sex Toy Recycling companies are new to the scene but are quickly catching on. At Sex Toy Recycling dot com every time you send in a used toy you get a five dollar voucher for a new toy.

The Rabbit Amnesty program is a fairly new program launched in Britain to help reduce material waste. Love Honey is the official middle man in this case and every vibrator turned into Love Honey gets you a new one for half price. Love Honey also donates one British pound to the World Land Trust to help the rain forest. This program is designed for the pearl rabbit vibrators only. For questions about recycling other vibrators through Love Honey, send them a quick email.

Use your warranty

Many sex toys including vibrators, dildos, plugs and rings come with some sort of warranty. In some cases you have to fill out a registration card and send it in like any other electronic device. When you buy a new toy read the warranty information as soon as you take it out of the package because warranties differ when it comes to how long the product warranty is valid. Some toys are guaranteed for 90 days, some are good for 1 year and some are only guaranteed for 30 days. Whichever the case if your toy breaks before the warranty is up send it back and get a new one.

Vibrators make great lawn ornaments

Ok, well maybe not but you can come up with some creative ways to use them to decorate with. You can make pecker plants with regular old ceramic planter containers, a few old vibrators, foam and fake foliage. Simply place layers of dark grey (or brown if you can find it) foam inside the planter until it resembles dirt. Cut slits or very small holes in the foam. Shove the handle end of the vibrator into the slits and holes. Make sure your slits and holes are small enough so they "grip" the vibrator and hold it upright. Add fake foliage and viola, you have a pecker plant! These make great table decorations for bridal showers and sex toy parties.

Donate them to the homeless

Let's face it most homeless people don't have access to sex toys but that doesn't mean they wouldn't like to have one or ten. Your old vibrator may not vibrate any more but it can still be used as a regular non-vibrating toy. Instead of throwing them away, donate your sex toys to those less fortunate. Homeless people could probably benefit from some good personal moist wipes as well.

If none of these options suit you go ahead and throw you old vibe away but know that if you do, the materials used to make sex toys are toxic and that's what will go into our already over sexed landfills.
