What Caused the Death of Johnson&Johnson Heiress Casey Johnson?

Yet Another Young, Rich and Famous Person Found Dead

Another young, rich and famous person has died unexpectedly. Casey Johnson, heiress to the Johnson & Johnson family and daughter of New York Jets owner Woody Johnson, was found dead yesterday morning. Cause of death has not been determined, but according to investigators, she has been dead for several days. Reports from TMZ this morning indicate a past history of diabetic comas on two separate occasions.

Although known in the celebrity circles, Casey Johnson, age 30, was not very well known to the general public until her recent relationship with Tila Tequila hit tabloid news in December. The last time anyone heard from Casey was a Twitter update she made on December 29th. Her world-wind romance with Tila had apparently hit a snag recently as Tila and Casey were apparently fighting last week. Tila told TMZ yesterday that she last saw Casey on December 28th and that she had been trying to reach Casey since December 29th, but was unable to reach her because the phone was shut off.

Unfortunately, another young person has passed away and just as in the case with the death of Brittany Murphy, the world will have to wait for the results of an autopsy to find out what happened to both of these young women.

This is no doubt a very sad time for both Casey and Brittany's families. Unexpected deaths of the rich and famous tend to surprise the world in a way because it brings home the fact that money or no money, we are all just human. Casey's death may not directly affect 99.9 percent of the world, but she was still somebody's daughter, friend, etc.

In the case of Heath Ledger's death, almost two years ago, some people were not that surprised due to his substance abuse problems, but it's always a bit startling to some to see a headline of someone so young having passed away. Casey, Brittany, and Heath had what we thought were full lives ahead of them.

The celebrity world, full of all it's glitz and glamor, still cannot escape the fragility of life. We should all be thankful for whatever we have in life and appreciate the time we have with our friends and family.
