I was watching CNN today and a commercial came on about Cenegenics. The commercial showed a 70 year old man with the chest of muscular teenager. The man went on to say that he felt like an 18 year old again. Since I am a 62 year old physical education major, I decided to look into the Cenegenic program.
Cenegenics is an age management practice. The program has 16 medical centers throughout the United States. They currently have 20,000 patients. The program shifts from a disease driven approach to a proactive plan that encourages healthy aging. It uses results for your evaluation and places a focus on several areas. Those areas being low glycemic nutrition, exercise, nutritional supplements and hormone optimization. It is not a pill, fad diet or radical surgery. Instead, it is a total body program.
Results; Cenegenics decreases age related disease. It increases both physical and sexual energy. It improves muscle tone. It decreases body fat and it sharpens mental thinking. It claims to help you look better, live longer and be more productive, in life. You can register and they will send you a healthy aging kit.
Facebook and Research; You can also learn more about the Cenegenic program on their Facebook site. I also came across an individual that is currently doing the plan and he has started a blog about his experience with Cenegenics. It is located at anabolicminds.com.
I must say that I was impressed with the details of the Cenegenic program. However, there was something that caught my eye. There was the usage of the growth hormone HGH. There was also dosages of HCG(human chorionic gonadotropin). HCG is a hormone that is produced during pregnancy. This hormone develops the embryo during pregnancy. It is also produced in the pituitary gland of both males and females. It is said to repel immune cells.
Personal Note; I can't say that I know everything about this program. I can see merritt in exercise, diet and avoiding age related stress situations. However, when it comes to HGH and HCG, I think the jury is still out.
To me, it appears that Cenegenics is a Benjamin Button approach to aging. But, like I said, I don't know everything about this program.
