What Channel is the 2011 Stanley Cup on and What Time Do the Games Start?
The Conference Playoffs Are Over; It's on to the 2011 Stanley Cup Final
With the conference playoffs over, and the Boston Bruins and Vancouver Canucks emerging as the victors of the Eastern and Western Conferences, respectively, it's time for hockey fans to turn their attention to the highlight of the season. Hockey-themed parties will abound, hockey fans will wear their team shirts, jackets and hats, and hockey lovers everywhere will reserve the dates for the Stanley Cup Final.
Will the Vancouver Canucks win the Stanley Cup?
Will the Canucks' wonder twins, Henrik (No. 33) and Daniel Sedin (No. 22), lead the way on the ice and bring the coveted Stanley Cup back to Canada? The Canucks haven't won a Stanley Cup since entering the National Hockey League in 1970, but that doesn't mean they won't do it this time.
Will the Bruins be victorious?
The Bruins, on the other hand, have a long history of wins against the Canucks, which is a psychological factor that can't be overlooked. NHL.com's John Kreiser stated, "The Bruins are considerably more comfortable visiting scenic Vancouver. Boston is 29-17-8 when visiting the Canucks, including wins in four of their last five road games in Vancouver." In addition, the Bruins have never been shut out by the Canucks in Vancouver.
It all makes for fun discussions at the pre-game parties, but in the end, hockey fans realize that past performance never guarantees future wins. Both teams played well enough to take their division, and that makes the upcoming hockey finals the games to watch.
