Chantix

I am sure some people already know what Chantix is and I am sure some of you are taking it, but for those of us who do not know what it is and what it is used for I will explain it for you. After you read this article you will know all about Chantix. You will know whether or not you will need this drug or not.

The first thing to look at is the distributor of Chantix. Chantix is a prescription drug and can only be prescribed by your doctor. You will have to go to your doctor and tell them that you want to quit smoking and that you have no other way of doing it. If you do this then your doctor will more than likely prescribe it to you. Next you should know about the main causes of use.

Chantix is used for people that are trying to quit smoking. If you have tried everything to try and quit and you still have not been successful then you should try Chantix. I know a lot of people that have tried to quit smoking, but they have not been successful. I know I will let them know about Chantix. Now we should look at the dose options.

When you first start taking Chantix you will be prescribed a low does. The reason why is because your doctor wants to know how it will affect you before he/she increases your dosage. Your doctor may increase your dosage as time passes that way you will get the best results from it. Most of the time the length of the medication will be about twelve weeks. Now I guess we should look at the cost of the drug.

Chantix is usually priced base on dosages you need. From the research I did the price starts at $148.00 and goes all the way up to $441.00. I know this can get very expensive, but some people would say that it is worth it. If you think about it then you will wind up spending about this much on cigarettes a year so why not just trade in the cigarettes and take the prescription. At least you will be saving your health and the health of all of those around you. I guess you are all wondering how Chantix works. I will now let you know.

Chantix is supposed to have some kind of chemicals in it that are supposed to make you want to give up the cigarette pack. To fully understand how this drug actually works then you should consult your doctor. There is no telling how it really works, but if any of you know then please let me know. Your doctor will be able to tell you step by step how Chantix is supposed to work. If you do not see any results then you should let your doctor know. Who is supposed to take Chantix and who isn't?

The answer to the above question is simple. People who have a history of kidney disease, or a history of mental illness then you should consult your doctor before you take this medication. Pregnant women should not take this because it can affect unborn babies. No one younger than 18 should take Chantix and also women that are breastfeeding are not recommended taking Chantix because no one knows whether or not it is passed through breast milk. If you are anyone else that does not have any of these conditions then you are more than likely a great candidate for Chantix.

The side effects of Chantix are not too severe unless you have one of the conditions named above. They are nausea, stomach pain, indigestion, vomiting, constipation, gas, weakness, increased appetite, and unpleasant taste in your mouth, headache, or sleep problems. You should let your doctor know if you are having any of these side effects because he/she may recommend that you stop taking Chantix.

So if you are anyone you know what to quit smoking and just do not know how to do it then you should talk to your doctor about Chantix. I am sure you or someone you know are trying to stop, but just does not have the will power to do it. If you think this drug would be great for you then you should give it a try.
