What are You Choosing to Do with Your Life?

It's a Choice

Tye Martin
Living is a choice. It is by no means mandatory at all. Many of us today are existing instead of living because we choose to. We have turned our imaginations off, and oppressed our childlike qualities that keep us refreshed and vibrant, making us age physically much faster than we have to. We settle instead of striving, and stagnate ourselves, instead of growing.

Many also deceive themselves into the daily routine of getting up and going to work for someone else everyday for the rest of their lives, consistently and relentlessly building someone else's dream forgetting about their own. Many people stay in draining, dead-end relationships out of convenience and habit, with it wearing and tearing and eating away the years of their life. They then become burnt out, bitter, and resentful of everything, looking up at the end of their lives wondering where it all went and how did they miss out. For this very reason, many of us die to ourselves long before we even meet the depths of the grave. So I say to you today, " choose to resurrect yourself "

It is a choice for you to be happy, but many choose to imprison themselves and allow the spirit of captivity to take over. Why ?? because it becomes much easier for them to give up, give in, and surrender, instead of holding on, standing up and fighting. When they suffer a multitude of mental, physical, and emotional bruises, they tend to forget that happiness is a reality because they can no longer see pass the layers of scaring tissue that has developed. For this reason, many place themselves in a mental jail, not choosing to use happiness as the bail to get out. So I say to you today, " choose to free yourself "!!

Positivity and optimism are choices that can bring us to the beautiful miracles in life if we allow them, but sometimes the purity of life can be destroyed or tainted. Many become consumed and entangled by repetitive exposure to negative circumstances, people, and environments. This can pull an individual into the strong flowing currents of negativity, with the possibility of contamination filtering into their hearts continuing the negative flow into their lives. They tend to miss out on opportunities, great relationships and friendships and never fully experience the joy of life. But there is hope, for the spirit of abundance, prosperity, and joy are always patiently waiting for you to receive them into your life. So I say to you today, " choose to receive your blessings".

Giving and blessing others is a choice. It keeps the abundance flowing into your life, creating an endless supply of wealth and treasure to always pull and draw from. Many people cling to possessions so tight that there is never enough room for anything else to come into their lives, often causing scarcity, and dryness of resources. By sowing the spirit of nothingness into other people's lives and situations, they sow depletion and desolation into their own lives.

It is the universal law of Karma that one can never hide from. For it is one of the greatest universal laws that renders you bare naked before all of creation. There is no way to escape the blessings of giving, or the curses of selfishness. The great thing is that you can choose at this very moment to turn your circumstances around if need be, by simply giving the next person you see a compliment. Giving or blessing someone's life can be as simple as a smile, hug, or kind words because you never know what that person is going through. So I say to you today, "choose to be rich in everything you do".

Every morning you wake up with the gift of free will. The gift of freedom to choose to create and recreate your life, your vision, and your destiny.
So ask yourself, " what picture am I painting with my choices" ?...... Choose wisely, for the choice is yours.

Tye. Keep pouring your soul into the words you so elegantly and enigmatically set forth. I feel like I just physically ate.

I hear what you're saying about compliments. When I worked at my hometown newspapers, there were editors who always were criticizing the reporters. When I would sub for one of these editors and saw a flaw in a young reporter's article, my strategy was to approach it this way. "This part was really good. This part was excellent. However, this paragraph over hear I don't understand, could you try to clarify?" .... So I try to be positive interpersonally, although in political arguments I can become biting and cynical. Maybe that's where I need to improve. Thanks Tye.
